As a previous poster has already stated, Australia has managed this under consumer protection laws. All new cars and motorcycles must list the full on-road cost of the vehicle.
I've been using OpenOffice (and then LibreOffice, since around when it forked) for writing scientific papers for a few years now. For referencing I use Zotero which works really well ( I can't stand Endnote!!!). Recently I had to switch to Word for a collaborative project and I absolutely hated the way it tried to take control of everything. The way LibreOffice handles captioning and just everything in general is much better than MS Word. The formula input and formatting is much more like Tex than MS Word too, which is really handy for all sorts of scientific and math input.
Anyway, I've been considering switching to Google Docs on an Asus Transformer for writing on-the-go (commuting) and will give it another go soon, but for now LibreOffice is the best I've come across.
For basic writing needs on a tablet I think I can make Goog work.
How are you supposed to hold it if there is no bezel? Watch some iPad mini ads and you'll see some instances where they have a thumb on the screen just to hold the thing because the side bezel is so thin.
Clearly, it's a case of him hiding something that he doesn't want to admit he himself finds pleasure in. As is the case with most of these "situations".
I don't agree. I use a Toshiba Thrive 10" Android tablet with an SD card full of textbooks in PDF. Makes it really easy to transfer them to my notebook if need. By reading them with EzPDF I can highlight, annotate, draw on them and save them. I can add bookmarks and quickly do searches too.
I also find the extra length of the screen in portrait mode (due to the widescreen setup on Android tablets) is beneficial as it allows menus and toolbars along the top and bottom of the screen which don't overlay on the page.
Overall, I can't think of a better solution, except for possibly a matte screen to reduce reflections.
Yay, same here! I was thinking back to it (fondly?) just the other day, in fact. Remembering getting X up and running, awwwwwwwww..... the memories!
Debian has been my work horse since, except for a bit of Red Hat (5.0 -> 5.2 I think).
Gotta love the swirl, Debian that is!
Ummm...
Robin Hood wore red and not green?

So why do you continue to use their site? This to me is the beginning of the end of online purchases...

And randomly corrupt your videos when too many people access them at once?
They didn't because... Wang cares!
Tell me... are you the male or the female of your species? Either way... You Lose!
Non-vital, lol!
Look in pocket. Take analgesic.
The word is median. Medium is for printing and clairvoyants.
How about setting the median IQ to 82 for Asians, 68 for whites, 52 for Latinos, 45 for blacks and 33 for people with disabilities?

You mean to say that the Agriculture Ministry is not in charge of Gundam already? But...

I find your post offensive! Now... get off my lawn???
The word is "than" FFS!
The word is "preposition", or maybe you want to marry?
Wait, you're implying that they did previously? When?
Maybe they just suck dark?
No, I think he was referring to the notifications feature... oh wait...

What do we expect from their control freak government?
