That is the great thing about having a popular site. Often times the same story is submitted by multiple readers. The "editors" don't need to spin the article. They just pick the version that most closely represents the overlord bias. There is no better example than the slashdot Politics section.
But with BSD you have to be careful when you say it's for the software developer. More specifically, it's for the first degree developer. Most developers I know want to start with the newest or more relevant version of code. With the BSD license, there is no guarantee that I'll be able to see the enhanced derivative work.
Sorry, but the old system would just leave these dumb kids behind and graduate them through social promotion. This is one of the reasons a high school diploma became worthless. I'm sure your job would be easier if you were only matched with smart kids. But the reality is that you as a teacher need to teach ALL of the kids. If you're not cut out for it, find a new job.
The current SDK supports the version of Open XML supported by Office 2007, which is not the same as that ratified as a standard by the ISO, due to changes effected during the ratification process.
Because anyone who follows Microsoft knows the game is to never have the two match.
So when it's all done, what percentage is the person making $70k paying and what percentage is the $700k earner paying?
What? The person earning $700k still pays more in both real dollars and percentage? That's not fair.
Flat tax is the only fair tax. And to satisfy liberals, most flat tax proposals have a provision to not start taxing until the person's income is over $30k so the poor can still mooch the system.
But honestly, what percentage of people who use a telephone actually know how the technology behind the phone actually works? And of those techs who could build such a system, how many also understand the social aspects of the device to use as a base for good legislation?
This jackass Rockefeller is on the Senate Intelligence committee. He has access to the same exact intelligence reports as President Bush and he came to the same conclusion.
There has been some debate over how 'imminent' a threat Iraq poses. I do believe Iraq poses an imminent threat. I also believe after September 11, that question is increasingly outdated.... To insist on further evidence could put some of our fellow Americans at risk. Can we afford to take that chance? I do not think we can.
Because I'm sure most slashdotters can guess who said it.
Who else would tie September 11 and Iraq together?
If you guessed Rockerfeller himself, you would be right. His speech was given October 10, 2002 just before voting for the war.
A clever person at AT&T has realized that users want their P2P, so why not prepare and encourage it? Pirates will equal cash cows once metered bandwidth goes into place.
The more you tell your life to government (and anyone really), the more it will find it's way into general knowledge. This is one of the reasons I'm against any "universal" government program. Heck, it doesn't even have to be medical records. Think back to the recent passport flap with high profile politicians. The government is not looking out for you.
Hello? Firefox developers, where are you? You already have a reputation for being sluggish. Why sit back and prove it every time? Is gecko so poorly engineered that it's really hard to fix? Or does nobody care about the actual page rendering side of the web browser? Either way is really bad for firefox's future.
The worst part about GNOME is the huge 64x64 icons, wasted whitespace on all of the toolbars and control panels, and what appears to be 16pt default font. They also get the ok/cancel buttons backwards. The "desktop" might be okay if you're a 60 year old blind man. Otherwise it's seriously frustrating to use.
The ecological disaster of a border fence doesn't matter at this point. The 10s of millions of people who have trampled the native lands already destroyed the habitat. I've been near the border in Arizona and can tell you first hand the vegetation is destroyed and there is garbage as far as you can see. (empty bottles, plastic bags, discarded clothing, thousands of cuts of carpet to hide footprints) If the fence was constructed today, it will take mother nature at least 100 years to repair the damage caused by the illegal crossings.

You're guilty and there is no way out of it on a technicality.
The only concern for the rest of us is that we have so many damn laws on the books that many of them are starting to conflict.
Wave hi to us from the surveillance cameras they have on every corner.

That was Terry McAuliffe of the Democrat party who made the gaffe.

You're staring at a tree and missing the forest.
I care about second amendment rights and thus Obama will never get my vote.
I've seen conflicting reports so I must ask...
Has joomla changed much (other than bug fixes) between 1.5 RC1 as covered by the book and the final 1.5 release?
Yeah, right.

Did Rockefeller include this quote?

What about the Xbox 720?

For me it basically comes down to tech school diploma mills versus tech-lite "diverse" coursework in a arts school.
The diploma gets in you in the door. The interview is how we weed out the posers.
Aren't all of these boards Chinese in the first place? The factory probably just did some overtime runs to knock out several more thousand.
Wow. Spoken like someone who has never developed a website.

The only thing de Icaza regrets is that open source heavyweights like Red Hat and Mozilla didn't follow him down the Microsoft trap.
It's been done before. It is called advogato. This is a site where developers can join, blog, and rate each other based on a trust matrix.
Bingo!
