    Of course an android developer could always sell the apk right from his own website if he so desired.

    It looked interesting and I loved the series almost 20 years ago, but I will never buy anything that uses IAP.

    I have some bad news for you kiddo, you might want to sit down for this, the casual gamers are now a market bigger than what you think of as gamers. They are todays gamers, welcome to 2012.

    Also most PC games these days play fine on a middle of the road PC with a $100 video card. Even most of the fairly hardcore shooter games.

    What they did to OpenOffice more than makes up for that.

    Hell, having to deal with Oracle as a company more than makes up for that.

    Normally software in the Play store is a little cheaper.

    I know I would probably not pay $9 for an app unless it was really amazing.

    I don't see how their changes hurt CENTOS. I do see how they hurt Oracle and hope they wound that beast as much as possible.

    Oracle is the one standing on the backs of others and returning nothing. They try to poison the well of FREE software everywhere they go.

    In the USA that last part would stop a lot of people from taking sick days since they cannot afford to see a doctor for the note.

    This is yet another area in which the USA is closer to a third world nation than a first world one.

    Sounds like a rational decision to me. He has 3 weeks of Paid TIme Off to use as he likes. He gains little by staying home when he is sick. If his coworkers or the company gain by him not coming in they should be paying for it, not him.

    Most places where? In what country, surely not in the USA.

    I now get 24 days including my 5 days of carry over after 5 years employment. At 10 it will be a another 5 days. Our starting employees get 14 days and can carry over 5 more into the next year. That is considered generous in our area.

    I disagree. My D1 was great for web browsing. It will probably be even better when I finally get 4.0 booting on it though.

    GTA3, Vice City, Demolition, Mass Effect infiltrator, The Dark Knight Returns, F18 Carrier ,Air Navy Fighters, Nova, Spectral Souls, General, Carmageddon(ios only so far, but android is scheduled for Q12013).

    These are all PS1 to PS2 level of graphics. There are also PS1 emulators. PS2 emulation will take another few years, as ARM cpus just are not up to that task. Even old Core 2s really don't do that, and ARM is nowhere near that level of performance.

    Use a controller?

    This is really for games that benefit from a controller not ones that benefit from touch.

    This is one thing android badly needs. A standardized joystick/controller API.

    The game does not need to know what kind of controller I have just that I pressed stick one forward and depressed button seven.
