    Droid is a verizon thing. HTC and Samsung have made droid labeled devices.

    Google owns Motorola, but they don't play favorites with it. I don't see it being an issue because of that.

    Sure it does, skype works on everything else as it stands. The fact that they own it just means they should have seen this coming.

    It just points out how bad they really are doing.

    That will never happen.
    Microsoft has no interest in that market. They do not want sideloading, they want a locked down walled garden type environment.

    The Nexus phones are made by an Android vendor not by google. They also do a good job of spreading the love around. HTC made the first few and now Samsung has made the Galaxy Nexus. Much different than building your own hardware and competing directly

    I do not believe it yet accepts incoming calls when the app is not open. That makes it pretty pointless.

    Microsoft says they are working to change the way skype works so they can work better with it. Which is the wrong way to solve the issue. Fix your OS not demand others to change their applications that work everywhere else.

    I thought WinPhone had some tech limits to doing that sort of thing well? Does WinPhone 8 fix that?

    My understanding was you had to use their message system to the phone to launch your app instead of letting it run as a service in the bankground.

    Who is going to want a ZunePhone?

    They might want to first get some penetration in the smartphone market before spending in even more money.

    Oh well, this is the modern MS, spend desktop and office money on markets that someone else dominates and keep spending till you compete. Never mind the fact that even 360 has not paid the Xbox bills.

    If I was an investor I would be pissed. If you are just going to waste the money pay it out as dividends.

    Look up hyperinflation yourself. All currency is not useless just that one experiencing hyperinflation. In Zimbabwe for example, they are now using the Rand after their own currency experienced hyperinflation.

    I backed it up and you talked around the point.

    The companies they invested in were pioneers in moving jobs oversees. Read the fucking article. They selected to move jobs overseas.

    GM was not bought because they do that, they were "invested" in only to keep them from closing.

    What it matters what Obama did I do not know. I guess that is the modern "but, Clinton".

    Romney wants to employ foreign workers for the same reason any head of industry shipped jobs overseas, to increase their profit margins.

    The taxpayer, like most 1st world nations do to a large degree.

    Having an educated society is of value to all members of that society. The party that embraces anti-education would of course fight this tooth and nail.

    Infrastructure, we have bridges in poor shape, we have a power grid that is a total joke, we have a lack of power in some parts of the country in the summer.

    Investing properly in education would solve that last part. By that I mean free university education for those who qualify at public universities.

    We would not have to do that, if we could invest in things that would lead to higher growth. We have a political party that opposes doing so and fights it at every turn. This is of course because their own candidate for president prefers to ship jobs off overseas than to invest in America.

    Please don't forget the entitlements to the defense contractors when you offer up the solution of removing the bread from the mouths of our seniors.
