    That mockup is based on something SONY told them. So it sure sounds like someone at sony had this idea as well.

    I agree "who knows" which means we should give them the benefit of the doubt and conclude that this design is obvious and not patentable.

    Yes, then I quickly come up with an answer. Instead of claiming it was a gotcha question.

    Hint to politicians, gotcha questions are what reporters are supposed to ask. What you read is a softball question, assuming you can read.

    The iPhone had not yet been released in 2006, it came out in 2007. Did Apple tell Samsung to avoid designing a similar phone before Apple announced it?

    Simultaneous independent development suggest that this design should fail the obviousness test for patentability.

    Did Samsung actually do any machining? I thought they only supplied parts.

    That last drawback is not so bad with a modern phone. AMOLED screens are pretty useable in direct light.

    I would like to hear how apple can show an pre-iPhone device and not let Samsung present the fact that this is a pre-iPhone device.

    That seems like Samsung must allow a lie to go unchallenged.

    Those boxes are only really suitable for once a day pill dosages. I say that as someone who uses one. I find alarms far more useful.

    PROTIP for Romney: You have the old people and fox news watchers all locked up, you do not need a VP that will reassure them so stick with someone less crazy. Or don't, I won't vote for you either way.

    Actually they do make them that way. The Kybher pass copies are made with pretty much no tooling at all.

    You can make a lower from wood or plastic today. You don't need a permit nor a waiting period, those are for pistols.

    How is that going to ruin it?

    Also if you knew anything about guns you would know that even if the lower totally fails there is zero chance of the gun harming him in that way.

    You can make a lower in steel on a mill right now. You could make one from wood, heck even cheap plywood.

    This is not a highly stressed part, nor one that needs to be machined to very high tolerances.

    It will be news when they can 3d print a barrel.

    I fail to see how this matters on bit then.
    This is just another option for testing compliance for medicine. Paroles are already piss tested to ensure they are not taking illegal drugs and can also be tested for required ones.

    This is what I do. Having the checklist part automated would be handy.

    Who in the hell is going to carry around a clipboard and watch? How would a watch even help here? Unless it has multiple alarms, I won't even know to look at the damn thing.

    So fine, they refuse to comment on the state of their nuclear weapons program. Which still makes them more of threat to safety than countries that admit they have nukes. Unknowns are bad for peace.

    Sure they are, but then that DR may not want you as a patient anymore.

    This is going to be used for the elderly and those who have medicine without which is it hard or impossible to remember to take or why to take your medicine. Think those on drugs that impact concentration, memory or anti-psychotics.

    Parole is instead of being in jail, right now for that sort of thing they use urine or blood tests. I fail to see how this is any different.

    I would love this. Not taking my medicine leaves me in a state where I forget to take my medicine. I have my phone set to alert me to take it. This would be a big help.
