    That would be the consumers fault. Don't buy devices that don't get updates. Stick to the Nexus line.

    Perfection is the enemy of the good, is a lesson you never seem to have learned. Sometimes a compromise, like not having the ideal control scheme or missing some football games, is better than the alternative of buying two devices or paying for cable.

    Don't forget the gay kids they toss out or that they ban atheists.

    The troop I attended as a kid was no place for a non-protestant child. Just being a catholic made it clear I was not really part of the group. The high school atheist me was glad to get out of that mess.

    Selling hardware with an app store seems pretty easy. Amazon could easily meet that need.

    I bet good money it does not have 65GB of RAM. My GN has only 1 GB and the SGS3 has 2GB and is a super phone.

    Define what you mean by real multitasking. As far as I can tell android has done real multitasking for quite a while.

    Linux is just a kernel. Some DE's are more touch ready than others.

    If you just want a typical linux distro type userland you can already use a chroot and vnc.

    This is made by ASUS.
    Google does not control when phones are moved from GB to ICS. They can only update Nexus devices. They will update those devices from ICS to JB.

    You can get controllers that solve that. They hold the phone in a mount. Far cheaper than buying another gaming device.

    What is this "a lot of the market"?
    You really think more than a tiny percentage of folks use these cards for bitcoin?

    Most people prefer to play games with them, instead of entering into pyramid schemes. Cash out while you still can.

    How would that work when the employee uses public transit?

    Which is the way these folks move around major metros like NYC.

    In other areas they normally use their own vehicles. Again, tracking their phone is so far the easiest for everyone. These are company devices they can and do turn off when not on the job.

    These days odds are the older folks that now anything about computers were at least one point interested in them. These days kids no nothing about them but use them all the time.

    Scheduling arrivals of service people and deliveries pretty much requires tracking them.

    So you want to break the computer to protect it?

    How do you prevent me from just using DD?

    The only way I can see this working is if you store the bootloader on some other storage, like a flash card on the mobo that is normally read only. Then require a hardware switch to be flipped when the bootloader is installed. That might actually be a good idea.

    How does it know the TPM is the one answering?
    Assuming this is the first boot, there must be some way to build a liar TPM.

    Only on x86 and only for now. Just wait until this becomes more mainstream. Then you will be able to turn it off, but not use the machine for banking or buying online unless it is on.

    The employees will want to carry two devices?

    If email is the only thing the device will support, why bother with a smartphone at all? There are feature phones that have that, or at least there were in the past.

    These days BYOD is huge, companies don't want to pay for, support and insure/replace all these devices.

    I had a 2001, the rear windows leaked even after several recall replacements, it leaked oil before the warranty was over and I was told that was normal, the electric door motors had to be replaced on a regular cycle. Last GM I bought and might well ever buy.

    You forgot the locked bootloader and the low res screen. Even the RAZR MAXX is not 720p.
