Still not having a centralized update system is a pretty big failing of windows. I am not suggesting a store, but a repository system like that used in linux where I can add the chrome repo instead of having some stupid updater.
Sure, but current criminal law practice is to make everything sound rather grandiose. When most people think of WMDs they think of weapons that can cause real mass destruction. Things that kill thousands or millions.
Once you realize space is mostly empty you might start wondering again.
Also your calculation makes no sense. It assumes that this whole volume must stay micrometeorite free, when only the volume the ship is in at that time has that limitation.
If the cost was low enough yes, I think the honor system would work.
The problem with cable is not only the outrageous cost, but the stupidity of broadcasting in 2013. I want to watch X now, not in 30 minutes when you decide to broadcast it.
You can ignore me though, I refuse to pay for services that also have commercials. Watching advertising is a form of paying, and I dislike paying for something twice.
The vast majority of PS and Xbox games are crap, lots of shovelware. So long as the best games can be found from the crap, it works fine.
Android games now are pretty much casual because of the devices they are played on. Once you have a proper console there is no reason more involved games can't be brought over.
Any modern controller will have a touch screen and an accelerometer.
Far better would simply be a requirement for the game to support controllers. Then people could run those on their phone too provided they had a controller.
If you are in it for a living you might as well not waste your income on DRM. Because clearly it does not do a damn thing.
The goal of DRM is laughable on its face. It does not work. You know what does though? Charging a reasonable price and not worrying about those who would have never paid.
Destructive device is what the ATF uses, so I was rather surprised that was not standardized upon.
Yeah, lawyers love to sound important.
That is probably the singly most morally repugnant thing I will read all day. As far as I can tell you appear to be no better than this bomber.
You could close the web browser.

Cheaper than an execution. Look up the real numbers and be surprised.
Also morally superior. I see no reason to make us all murderers.

If it only kills one out of every 100 crews, as an example, their made be no need to bother with additional expensive shielding.
We do not need a risk of 0, just acceptable rates of crew loss.
We are not talking about moving the magnet field.
If you do that with a stationary magnet you will be very safe.
Basic high school stuff here.
That has nothing to do with what I said, good job.
Hint: it does not matter what velocity, it only matters the odds of actually encountering something.
In 1983 finding the good games vs crap was a lot harder than today.
In 1983 it was a lot harder to make a good console.

Obviously we can't land on Europa.
Why exactly do you need to keep the magnetic effects out of the inside of the capsule? Assuming you don't use magnetic storage or something.
Humans do not seem to be negatively impacted by fields of many Tesla.
What are the actual odds of being hit?
Are they that frequent outside our ring of garbage?
Some amount of crew loss is going to be acceptable vs spending infinity dollars.

All of those?

This is pretty much the MO of all successful businesses.
How does web browsing and installing programs make a computer slow or unstable?
I don't use windows, but is this still the reality windows users face?
It has prevented me and several other folks from buying them. Might not have hurt it much, but surely there are some lost sales.

Since when?
Hunting rifles were not that hard to get when I lived there. Pistols sure, but hunting rifles were pretty easy to get.
Holy straw-man batman.
Yeah, and after all that they still went for one way tickets. Which to me says they were barely getting by.
Get back to me when someone buys a lambo to crash into a crowd or a gulfstream to smash into a building.
This. Even with no DRM still not worth it.
Hell, they mail you disks you can copy all you like and no way could you get caught. Still very few people bother.
