page 13 it says that dead pixels are fully acceptable and Sony won't replace them. Piss on that!
Yes the sky is the limit for them because they have hundreds of thousands of dollars sitting in the bank and most of them hold degrees in Engineering and Economics. They are just lazy alcholics.
Columbine was the same theme as this just different circumstances. The kids in both these events felt isolated from "Society". Compounded with emotional disorders and surronding themeselves with violent games, nazi books, and malcontent jerks on the Internet was recipe for disaster. But, at the core of it all was a bunch of kids who couldn't think out side the box of their current prediciments. Yes the Indian Reservation sucks. Yes, Columbine was full of phoney jocks with a school/community structure that told the kids "if you don't fit the mold you are worthless." But, once your 18 you can fly the coupe and try to make a life for yourself somewhere else. These kids couldn't think that far.
From what I gather from this washington post article
it was the white man who stole all the Indian land and forced the native americans to live shitty lives on reservations that cause the school shooting. If I lived the life that was describe in this article I might have done the same. And I'm white!
Is Sony and RIAA going to get in a pissing battle?
on
The PSP's Birthday Party
·
· Score: 3, Funny
DJ Danger Mouse was Djing the event? Last I heard the RIAA was all hot and bothered by his Grey Album. Does this mean that Sony, who is a member of the RIAA, is now going to be on the RIAA's hit list? Obviously, Sony Game Division and Sony Music do not give a flying F about each other.
How about we, as a collective consumer group, stop buying music, dvds, games, etc that have any type of DRM on it? Look I know it's hard to go through life with out your Half-Life 2 fix and you can't imagine living without your Lil' John ACC formatted song that you paid Apple for. But, if it's such a big issue then just stop buying it. There are other things in life to entertain and take up your time. Please correct me if I'm wrong but people who bitch about DRM think it's their God given right to have full access to all their entertainment that they bought. In a perfect world I would agree. But, at the end of the day all of your entertainment is made by a heartless corporation that is bent on making money. It is a product that they produced and if they want to make some crazy stipulation on how people use then fine let them. I don't download MP3's anymore on P2P and I haven't bought a CD in like 2 years. I don't want to deal with the music industry. and you know what my life hasn't fallen apart because I didn't blow 15 bucks on the new Ja-Rule CD.
Software is differnt. I don't remember any games since the Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo days being in short supply. Hardware is a differnt matter all together. There is only a finite set of processor chips and what not to make. Any company can stamp out a CD/DVD game relativly fast.
I couldn't agree with you more. The library level in Halo 1 almost made me stop playing the game completly. Who's idea was it make the level so goddamn long with repetition out the ass?
"Oh wow, another hallway that has the same ditches and corners as the last 50 hallways with 500 enemies coming out the walls. Oh joy!"
With that said there was a lot of repetition in the game. That's why I don't understand why people make the game out to be the second coming of Christ for the video game industry. Yes, it has fun multiplayer, yes it has nice graphics and a decent story, but they needed to work on the level design.
I just played Feel the Magic last night (rented it from GameRang.com). I have to say it has some amusing mini games. Just the fact that they have a game where you have to blow into the microphone to move a sail boat says it all. It's not a game that I would buy but it's a great rental. This game shows the potential of DS and I'm looking forward to the other games coming out later this year.
No I don't watch The View. Sometimes I see it as I'm flipping between HBO and Comedy Central and Star Jones' presence fills my screen and her back fat puts me into a hypnotic trance of disgust. When I realize what has happened.
Last time I checked there was thing called the Crusades. Thousands of people got killed. Yet, nobody banned the bible because of it. Hell, 3000 people died on 9/11 and we don't even ban the Koran. Personally we should ban anything that can be even remotely related to violence. I want to punch the wall everytime I see Star Jones on The View. Let's ban her.
Sega Genesis had altered beast and I remember numerous times they had the special "Buy a Sega Genesis and get 3 free games in the mail". That's how I got Super Monoco GP and Populous from what I remember.
Yes, that would make more sense. I remember some of friends trading in their SNES and Sega Genesis so they could get a Jaguar. To this day they are kicking themseleves for it.
and it's probably the crappiest video game system since the ailing 32-bit age (between the SNES and PSX)
?? SNES was 16-bit and are you saying that that the Super Nintendo and original Playstation were crappy? Unless your being a flamebait troll, please give some specific reasons why these two systems were crappy.
I love Mario 64 DS but god damn I want a new game! Wario Ware looks good but It's not a must have item for me so I'll wait. But hey, remember when Nintendo 64 came out and for like 2 months there was nothing but Mario and Pilot Wing? I'm looking foward next month to getting a copy of Metroid and sometiime this year the mario kart and castlevania games will be coming out.
" I don't think prices will go up, in part because gamers can always rent the games."
WTF? The norm for a new game is 50 bucks. By his rational the new game price would have been steadily been dropping for the past decade because we've always been able to rent. I don't buy the renting theory. There is a certain je nae say qua about owning the game.
This is so true. I've seen guys at the E.P.A with Ph.D's who could describe Lake Tahoe water table data from memory but didn't know the first thing about checking/sending email. Everybody has a niche.
They really need to do what Sega did and stop making hardware and focus specifically on software. What? They already did that? Man, I guess they are screwed.
I like to think of him as Wil Wheaton the Author, not Wil Wheaton the 15 year old kid who played a character on Star Trek. Although this is how he got his start, that was ages ago. Let it go and embrace the here and now. Pick up Just a Geek and your view of him will change...hopefully for the better.
Although you have a point about the advancement of technology and people who don't play old, outdated games, there are still people like me who play old, outdated games. I play alot of WarCraft 3 and NFL2K5 for PS2. However, I still play Castlevania SOTN for my PS2 and a few weeks ago I just reinstalled my old copy of Star Craft. Yes, I still play that game because it is fun. I would be extremely pissed if I tried to install it and I got a message saying that the Blizzard Server for this game was longer working. As for your google work around, I will mod you as informative, but I don't like the idea of trying to do a third party hack to make my legite copy of a game work on my machine.
So 1.7 million people are going to be really pissed in like 5 years when Valve gets bought out by EA and EA discontinues the Steam servers making everybodies HL2 game unplayable.

Imagine a Beowulf cluster of PSP...
oh nevermind

If you make games only for 18+ age then Nintendo will go out of business. Won't somebody please think about Nintendo

Did the Duke Nukem Graphic engine demo run on the Phantom Game Console? Why are they still bothering to pretend that they are making that game?

I don't know about the rest of you but this is going to free up a lot of time for me to go to gym and get back into reading.
