I've played Castlevania: Symphony of the Night about 7 times now. I played Castlevania: Lament of innocence once and never touched it again. By all accounts of the video game industry I should have loved the newer one because the graphics were in 3D. However, issues with the controls and camera positioning just didn't make it fun after a few hours of play.
In Warcraft 3, people have mulitple accounts. So a 30 level user can switch to his 2 level account and man handle some noobs. It's not right but it is just a videogame. Deal with it pink boy.

I use to like IGN way back in the day. Everytime you go on the site now you are bombarded with annoying Flash pop up ads that won't go away until you click them on. Also, I hate that when you click on a link you get intermission ad before the story you want to read. Yes, I understand that the Internet is a horrible, unprofitable medium and that companies need to do everything they can to make money and not go out of business. But, in the interest of profits they turned their site into a craptacular piece of shit. Oh and on more than one occassion I feel that their video game reviews were given high ratings by the video game companies that they reviewed. I am not interested in this new channel or content programming at all. It's going to be another lame G4TV channel.
although your rant has a point, doesn't every company do this. Isn't this the point of capitalism. First rule of selling anything: create a need to own.
It really depends on the quality of the people the store manager wants hire in his or her video game establishment. I have seen hardcore passionit people in various Game Crazy, EBworld, and Gamestop stores. However, from time to time, I will get an employee who should be working the local Safeway or Crate and Barrel instead of a video game store. I've talked to a few family memembers and friends who are either getting jobs at one of these places or has worked there. They all say that the managers could care less about vidoegames and would rather have you lie to customers to sell a game. Like my one friend said to me a few days ago after his Game Crazy interview, "The manager told me 'Tell the Customer what they want to hear. It doesn't matter if the game sucks, just sell it.'".
What about an American release? Please won't somebody think about the Americans!!?
Actually, I am very happy that Xbox is getting this game. I heard so many great things about the PC version but I refused to play it because of the whole Steam activation controversy. I will be pissed if this game requires Xbox live to play.
Um I fit your IRS-Tax bracket profile and I have a 52 inch HDTV and I have no debt and my stock portfolio and Roth IRA and 401k are doing just nicely, thank you. Oh and I'm pumping out about $1200 a semester for Grad School.
Your basic Homosapien biped can barely handle vechicles that have 4 wheels and stay on the ground. I can't wait for these flying contraptions to hit buildings, fall out of the sky, and cause 80 flying car accidents 500 feet in the air. All because somebody spilled their coffee or were changing the radio station.

Just don't download music and don't buy it. Most of it is crap and you DON'T need it. Seriously, if the RIAA once be a bunch of bitches about then send a message to them saying that you aren't going to help make their Beverly Hills Mansion payments or help them buy another diamond ring for their many hos.
I would agree with this but I'm not crazy about BMG's selection. Every now and then they have some good cds but it seems they are just trying to push off Best of collection cds. Also, it's not a bargain unless you buy in bulk (more than 3 I think). Most of the time I just want one cd.

I do take offensense that the current video game industry sees me as an ADD High school cheer leader who can't get enough music industry dribble contained in shiney package presented by Paris Hilton. Everytime I watch MTV my head hurts from the constant camera shifting and bright lights they use in every shot. I know it's probably really extremem but I'm going to pass up on Xbox 2. I'm not crazy about playing games online and I'm not crazy about the way this product is being marketed to me. Please, for the love of God, won't somebody bring back the Sega Genesis/Dreamcast and let people who actually enjoy playing innovative games do just that.
I think the total amount of music I bought since 2002 has been about 3 cds. I average about 1 new game every 2 months. I don't buy games when they first come out because 50 dollars is way to much. You can buy a quality game for 20-30 bucks and the entertainment time for any given game is at least 10-15 hours. Unless I really like a cd (which has about an hours worth of music), I usually listen to a cd 3 to 4 times and then put it away in my collection. I'll listen to it maybe a couple of times a year after that. I think entertainment wise videogames give you more bang for the buck.
I have a pretty decent machine but I was totally blown away by music skipping, character popin- popouts, and the sound effect clicking. At first I thought I needed to upgrade my computer but I got Doom3 to work at medium resolution just fine on my computer. So I'm going to have to blame the developers on this one. Even though it's free it's still crap.

College hardly teaches you anything tangible(unless you major in something really technical). What college does is teach you how to think , solve future problems, and conduct research. All of these things are important for people not to be dumbasses in life.
