This is so true! I used to work for a company that was required to be HIPPA compliant. While we strived to be compliant the insurance and pharmacy companies that we were courting as customer pretty much ignored HIPPA regulations. There are no teeth in this legislation. It looks good on paper, but unless someone steps up to enforce it it does us consumers no good.
the way I see it apple gets a 2 fold benefit from this move. They are making sure that one of their biggest user groups ( the educational market) is using OS X. And they get a huge PR bonus out of it, Look at us! We gave away a free copy of our OS to teachers. Imagine what their Karma must look like.
Well it seems like it could be a viable alternative to outlook. Lets see if he can get the market penetration to offer some kind of serious competition
I agree on 1 part. As an oft user of eBay I find electronics parts sell for damn near retail, and that is for used parts. I think the amount of crooks is very small as I have only been burned 1 time by a seller in auctions. As a seller myslef the bigger problem IMO is those damn deadbeat bidders who never pay!
The only thing eBay can do is suspend accounts, etc. That is the only thing they can do. They simply provide the venue for people to meet at. If they handled the money you would have some kind of recourse through them for fraud.

Sell the mother sucker and run! Unless of course you have severe emotional attachment to it. Then just set a reserve!
