  1. Awesome game on Dawn of War Gold; Demo Out · · Score: 1, Redundant

This is a truly awesome game. Relic have done it again, just like the homeworld series we've got some awesome new gameplay. Oh yeah, firstpost.

  2. Re:NOT Robots on New Robots and the Ten Ethical Laws Of Robotics · · Score: 1

The word robot comes from Czech robota, "servitude, forced labor," from rab, "slave." Having a remote control artificial device constituits as a robot. There are very, very few robots that are completley automated. I can't understand why people keep bashing these Japanese hobbiests ('oh they're not robots, they're just toys!'). Guess what, it's a freaking game! They are toys! They're having fun! A huge amount of work goes into those semi-automated walking machines and people just write them off as 'not -real- robots like in hollywood'.

Perhaps you're right, but having forkage and new standards pop up make a psuedo darwin effect. This way new ideas are encouraged. I know it looks bad on the face of it, but this is not closed source software, it is open source - and telling people that they can't/shouldn't fork software is fundamentally wrong.

  6. Gamecube LAN party! on Warp Pipe Project Ramps Up For Mario Kart · · Score: 2

Gamecube as a LAN box would be uber cool!!1! Unfortauntely it looks like it'll take quite a while before it will be a reality, but the potential is there.

  7. Re:Project Management on Newell On Half-Life 2 Delay · · Score: 1

Seriously though, having a few weeks or even a month on a four year project extra isn't bad at all for project management. Especially when you're dealing with creative always new technology. At least HL2 isn't akin to Duke Nukem Forever.
