hmmm... no offense meant, but with a comment like that, no wonder you're signed in as an anonymous coward. when people all over the world are struggling with the fact that they have loads of work to do and not much time to use, i'm totally surprised that there are people who like to slack off. i believe the guy wants some good advice, and not a first-post-look-alike with unusable stuff. oops... just realized that there's no point in my post, too.

bull. absolute. temperatures at the deepest depths of the earth will NEVER rival those at the Sun's surface - if they did, we would have roasted at the beginning of evolution.

we would not have existed, of course. and we would not have written such misleading articles. and there would be no /.

wow - that is quite a thought!

  5. life! on Life on Pluto? · · Score: 1

doesn't seem very surprising that we theorize that life may exist somewhere in our own solar system, rather than someplace else.

but statistics belie this thought - we have a lot more planets (extrasolar, solar, what-have-you) out there than within good old sol's field of influence.

and why not pluto? why not the farthest planet, something so remote that we only have very vague numbers - we still do not know how many moons pluto has (charon's still a small icy rock).

one thing that never fails to amaze me is that we're consciously looking at *organic* life alone - mightn't there be other forms of life out there? may seem strange to us carboniferous forms, but we may seem strange to them, too.

    in my humble opinion.

  6. Pathetic stuff... on Pictures Leaked of 3 new Palm handhelds · · Score: 1

As usual, Palm is way behind the rest - wake up, people! Nobody's even going to bother looking at a 2mb handheld, and your design is way off track. With a third of the view taken up by inane buttons, the screen just a one-way view - what are you trying to sell us? Junk?
