Oh great, another "IE is better than Netscape" dude. This is "Insightful"?
I don't use Windows enough to know if "IE" is better
Then shut your pie hole. Because if you DID use IE for more than 15 mins you'd see the point.
I too was a 'Netscape only' person from version 1 to version 4.72. Netscape simply has becoming worse and worse while IE has become better and better (well, maybe not 5.5 but 5.01
is solid).
There comes a time when getting your work done is more important than supporting some ideal that obviously isn't shared by the actual developers.
That time for me was June 2000. Goodbye Netscape and good riddance.
This reminds me of how people were during my Apple ][ days. Piracy was rampant and you could copy and programs from someone as long as _they_ didn't buy it.
Once they spent their hard earned cash on a piece of software they took a protective stance.
ps. I made up for my years of sin during university buying a lot of unneeded games:-)
He's not being a price. From what I've read, he's tired and wants to go home to his family. Nothing wrong with that. It isn't _him_ that is beating a dead horse.
What's wrong with VA? As long as the stock price is above its initial IPO (I don't think it was over $60), they are still sitting pretty good. It's not their fault outsiders were willing to spend gobs of cash on overvalued stock. VA sold the shares at the IPO price. Whether their price goes up $1 or $100 doesn't really matter.
A company like MS likes to keep the price affordable. You make your money on the splits. I know someone who went from 30k to 1.3 million in a few years.
After two and half hours it just stopped. The entire audience let out a groan of disbelief that it just stopped. Until Ninth Gate came out, I'd never seen a movie that was so interesting just flop at the end.
I watched the movie before reading the book and was completely confused. But from what I now gather the film was badly cut. The new release which I think Sci-fi shows is the 'directors cut' and apparently makes for a better moive.
Depends. I don't have to set my proxy at work and we still have a firewall with a banned site list. And the first one doesn't change your proxy anyway. Try it.
This year's CES in Las Vegas had a lot of major players with TiVO integration. Should be interesting to see if any help TiVO and strong arm the other's lawyers.
I remember a few months back reading somewhere of MAME being ported to the N64. It wasn't fully functional but had the basic set of games (pacman, galaxian, etc).
There is also the Namco Museum which was recently released for the N64 which is true emulated versions of those games.
My feelings exactly. I use to tape every episode while watching it and removing the commericals. I watch episodes over and over and still laugh... ...Except for this season. I've stopped taping and can barely watch it. Sure there are a few laughs but mostly they seem to really be off in the setup. Like that split second everyone was wearing clown wigs or something (or were all the people bald?) next scene everyone is back to normal. ????
Considering Steve Jobs, went to PARC, saw the GUI and immediately ran back to Apple to develop their own, it could be construde in certain circles as 'stolen'.
Several people make frontends for it as well.

Several arcade sites sell boards. Ebay has a steady stream of arcade parts for sale. Lots of people just buy the board and swap it into their cabinet.
There used to be ads for the 'Brick' computer in mags I read a few years back. Wouldn't ya know it, it was shaped like a brick...

There are lots of alternatives to using the BDE including some decent VCL ones.
BDE Alternatives
Although you can compile Forte apps, running them in interpreted mode works just as well for a lot of applications.
I thought the girl in DCP00326.JPG was kinda cute.
I recently sold all my stock so I'm quite flush with cash...
You are correct sir.

I love eating at the King Burger nearby...

Don't assume someone who bought RHAT @ $200 is now about to go on a shooting spree because its dropped to $25.
More likely they bought at $200 and sold at $190 and then that person sold at $185, etc...
Saten? See, even you can post like JeffK.
No, no, no.

AMD stock is also climbing due to them making the cpu for Microsoft's X-box.

Try one of these. The first one works for me.
