    There is however some distinction between what I said and fatalism. Fatalism is the view that we are powerless to do anything other that what we actually do. I am arguing "we" actually "do" nothing because there is no "we" or ego to do it. For someone to do anyting the ego must exist.

    With all that its much easier just to drop the idea of an ego entirly. Everything you do is the result of someone else in the universe. At the same time you are part of that universe so you affect everything else. There is then no longer a need for an ego to make decisions, its an illusion. This is not a deterministic idea because nothing is happening to anyone. But at the same time nobody is DOING anything. Its all just a happening.

    Great poem, Alan Watts used to quote it alot when talking about the illusion of the ego.

    Most of the music I listen to the artists (if they were still alive) would probobly aprove of me downloading, even if the record companies would not.

    However the guy is then deprived of his property (wallet). This is not the case with music piracy. You just copy the file and the other person keeps his as well. I dont care anyway, I need my money more than the record industry does.

    You know why we dont see body bags being pulled off planes? Because the Bush admin banned camera's for those things. Wouldn't want people to see the real cost of the war now would we.
