There is however some distinction between what I said and fatalism. Fatalism is the view that we are powerless to do anything other that what we actually do. I am arguing "we" actually "do" nothing because there is no "we" or ego to do it. For someone to do anyting the ego must exist.
With all that its much easier just to drop the idea of an ego entirly. Everything you do is the result of someone else in the universe. At the same time you are part of that universe so you affect everything else. There is then no longer a need for an ego to make decisions, its an illusion. This is not a deterministic idea because nothing is happening to anyone. But at the same time nobody is DOING anything. Its all just a happening.
There was a young man who said, "though it seems that I know that I know, what I would like to see is the I that sees me, when I know that I know that I know."
Great poem, Alan Watts used to quote it alot when talking about the illusion of the ego.
"Many people inside the company are worried that users might fear that the content of their e-mail messages could be used to tailor individual advertising messages, much as ad messages are now placed on pages tied to specific responses to search inquiries. Google hopes to quell any such concerns by assuring users that the content of their messages will remain private."
However the guy is then deprived of his property (wallet). This is not the case with music piracy. You just copy the file and the other person keeps his as well. I dont care anyway, I need my money more than the record industry does.

You know why we dont see body bags being pulled off planes? Because the Bush admin banned camera's for those things. Wouldn't want people to see the real cost of the war now would we.
Well if you've used both why do you think IM is a chat room thing?
Thats exactly what they were saying. However it could be that they have been having to replace so many that THAT is creating the shortage.
Seems to me that should be illegal under some antitrust law or something.
Only problem is nothing on the radio is worth recording.
No heh.
I'm thinking we should load the thing up with marijuana seeds. Let the government TRY to tell me I can't grow it off the planet.
Did you take into account that this is moon gravity and not earth gravity?
That's Pretty Good Privacy
Yeah except that you would run out of air in 90 minutes.
Shouldn't that be near hit? Near miss sounds like they hit. "Look those two planes nearly missed."
I do not believe anyone was argueing otherwise.

So far it has been blocked in the senate mostly due to the leadership of Iowa Senator Tom Harkin.
I think so!
No but what we slashdotters have done to his server requires Vaseline!
Will this be able to test any of the small deviations in reletivity predicted by some of the theories of Quantum gravity such as string theory?

If you RTFA you know that they are NOT doing that.
Most of the music I listen to the artists (if they were still alive) would probobly aprove of me downloading, even if the record companies would not.

You have to be elected once before you can be re-elected.
