The reason ogg ranks above mp3 is that the vast majority of mp3s are of copyrighted songs and its too dangerous to put them were google can see them. Those willing to license their music more freely are more likely to be more freedom conscious in general and pick ogg. Mp3 is still WAY more popular.

We don't have all the answers, but we have this one. You are misapplying the second law of thermodynamics. Only closed systems become more chaotic over time. The earth is not a closed system.

Also, Einstein's statement with regard to quantum mechanics is completly unrelated to evolution. Evolution is not "random chance." This is a misconception. Evolution, in a system such as ares, not only does occur, but must. While each indevidule mutation is random, the selection of which mutations are to be preserved is not random at all. Only those mutations which help and organism to survive are preserved. This is completly logical. There is no need for such a process to be guided by a creator.

My own conception of God is not as some conscious, judgement making entity which designed the universe, but as essentially the processes of the universe themselves. Natural selection is not guided by God, it IS god. In the same way, I am God, in that my life process is God. Everything is divine.

Just about all of the high level sites (including those not raided) which display "site down" in their irc channels for at least a couple weeks. Usually when a major stike like this occurs (Operation FastLink on 4/21/04 being the last such strike) all of the high level sites shut down as a percausion for a while.

Isn't it likely that the reason they moved their eyes in the original research was that they didn't immediatly remember which side the correct object was on, and therefore had to look at at least one of them first to determine if it was the right one?

This is extremly obvious, and I'm really not sure what is so new about the research. Also, reading the article, its clear it doesn't really prove anything. If the brain really was an on-off processer, then perhaps it is smart enough to test just the beginnings of each word, on or off, and not move the mouse in any perticular direction until there is only one match. How is this at all surprising? Why would the researches expect anyone to move their mouse towards the wrong choice at first? I'm not saying I don't think the brain is different from a computer in many, many ways, I'm just saying this experiment doesn't really show it.
