there are two types of people in this world (well.. actually more, but ill narrow it down here), those who talk about needing - have their needs filled- then still dont produce... and then there are those who need - and once those needs are met.. they DO produce...
i hope theo and the rest of obsd are of the latter...

actually, hes being punished for not complying with the rules that were set forth after he was thrown out... that war hasnt ended... the time between the "end" of the gulf and now as really just us killing time while we wait for him to destroy/reveal the chem/bio weapons hes been mass producing. i mean.. come on.. how many tonnes of sarin and anthrax did iraq admit to producing.. then you could in theory take that number and just multiply it by any random number and you still might not even be close to the truth... the war was postponed so he could disarm/reveal his chem/bio weapons and the only thing hes been doing is making more...
so no.. its a new crime.. completly unlike the first one...;P *wink* lol

yeah, and in the post wwII days joseph stalin called winston churchill a war monger. churchill warned for years about hitler and what he was slyly trying to do... and knew that action had to be taken before he actually succeeded. look what happened. hitler rose to amass great power and it wasnt until japan struck us (as the history books say) that we actually realized that something had to be done.
lets look at this as hitler = sadam, churchill = bush.
now granted.. bush is no churchill... (america needs another churchill) but at least hes trying.
not a flame (as some have taken my previous posts.)
its nice to see that comment #5495764 got tagged as flamebait.. i mean.. shit.. it only makes valid points.. what i think happend was a nerve was struck with someone who doesnt like letting people see microsoft in a decent light and just felt like penalizing a comment that it. then again.. i could be biased towards my own commments.. but fuck that.. . i actually think i made a point.. (even if it was pretty unpointy...)..
lol yeah... its sad, but your right... and i partially agree... but surely someone can do better.. i mean... how much do you actually use wmp? i.e: load playlist, shuffle, repeat, play. done. if your dj'ing theres plenty of better tools out there... and yeah, winamp can be pretty odd...
but the truth is.. its not even about writing a "better one"... its about finding one that suits your needs. for some people, the standard cd player that came with win95 is good enough.
again.. im too tired to rant.. lol.. i need sleep. =/
first, im not going to make any cheesy remarks like "well, i really hate microsoft too but lets look at their side for a minute". although, in saying that, i in essence already have.
ok why is it ok to tell a company who doesnt force you to use its software (yeah, the average joe can go out and buy a barebones system and install linux... if they dont want to do that, its on them.) what they are allowed to put into software that they (yeah, mostly - lets put aside the bs about how they stole such-and-such code) wrote.
whats the matter? as soon as they start making too much money someone else has a problem? if they're such a problem dont encourage the public to buy it and (if your an oem) have a little diversity... dispite the fact that most linux users hate redhat, it IS pretty decent for the average joe... no one forces you to buy from an oem that uses microsoft and if it hurts your business to exclude microsoft - dont hate them, the player - hate the game. after all, its your elected government that referee's it.
i really wish companies would stop bitching for once and just move on. if you dont like windows media player - write a fucking better one. if you cant, look on the internet - for surely someone already has... for god sakes - really, if you dont like the fact that microsoft puts uninstallable stuff into a program that YOU choose to use, DONT USE IT... i mean,, what the fuck would happen if microsoft took away the add/remove wizard? would everyone bitch because they couldnt offically add or remove software?
fuck that, this rants done.. im gettnig more angry just writing it.
if they cant access a site, the way i see it, they have two options...
a) find a different site that caters to those with disabilites.
or
b) take a ride to the place they wish to purchase from and use their ADA mandated access ramps to get inside, and purchase what they need to purchase.
hey! here's an idea! maybe instead of bitching about the problems at hand and making all sorts of needless regulation - why not prompt the companies that develop these screen readers and such to make smarter devices that are capable of reading regular pages... OR! develop a more complete standard that allows us web developers to write content rich sites for those with disabilites with out haveing to maintain two or three separate sourcetrees for textonly and html pages... its bad enough that some people are still stuck maintaining source for ns & ie...
so that is what the preview buttons for...
actually, its more like curly, swirly, or even burly... but it should have been truly.
