I find even Safari is not so reliable on a slow connection and will consistently timeout after 60 seconds. I had the same problem with Camino in the past and actually had a situation where it repeatedly submitted a form because the response took longer that it expected, resulting in the request and data being posted 9 times. If I have something real critical to do, I use Mozilla.
Finally a Batman with some hope of being good and true to the character. Batman is pissed and should be pissed. I for one am pretty excited about the film and it seems to be very well cast.
actually i don't have a monitor on it. been using it as a web dev server, and it has been pretty stable until 10.2.8. that update seemed to fubar a lot of stuff on that machine.
i too may be resorting to a full rebuild of that box and do the 10.2.6 combined update or risk the 10.2.8 combined update. is there a 10.2.8 combined update? hmm.
not sure about the vid card stuff. still working with the on-boards grafix card/mem, although i did upgrade it a few years back, adding a whopping 4MB of vram.
I had this problem in 10.1.2, then it went away in 10.1.3 and came back in 10.1.4 and has never left. A fix in the past was to turn on 'Full Keyboard Access' in the Keyboard preference pane. This is a temporay fix and requires a logout/login to take effect, and sometime a complete reboot. I have noticed that this 'modifier key strangeness' only happens when i connect to some SMB servers, and not all. I wonder if it depends on the version of Windows running on the box with the shared volumes and how that version of winbloz id authenticating.
It sure pisses me off when it happens though, and I wish Apple would get off their collective asses and fix it.
My sentiments exactly!

sorry, i'm not much help.
I have, but the machine is a biege G3 266 from the days of yore. My prismo powerbook and b/w G3 took it on the chin without a stumble.

Not to mention that they used a piece of stock photography for the chick with the coffee. What a bunch of No-Talent-Ass-Clowns!
