For each of us here complaining about things like crying babies, cell phones ringing, etc., there are 10 other people that for some sick reason love waiting in line for hours and jamming into a packed theater with hundreds of other masochists on opening nights.
Seems many people just want to see the stuff when it comes out; few have the patience to wait for the home video release. Even fewer have home theater systems (or can afford them), which is why I will continue to go to the theater (but a few weeks after release and at matinees only).
The Navy's out-of-date computer systems have created a confusing and inefficient patchwork that has made it difficult to share electronic information.
I think this is justification enough. For cryin' out loud, if there's one part of government that should be able to move information from one place to another quickly, it's the military. Maybe after this is over they can retire the carrier pigeon fleet.
The April 9 issue of PC Magazine has an article titled Office Tips and Applications with a subset titled The Office Alternatives.
They compare EasyOffice, gobeProductive, Lotus SmartSuite, MS Works, 602Pro PC Suite Plus, StarOffice 5.2, ThinkFree Office, WordPerfect Office, and of course MS Office.
