  1. Meh on PS3 Still Possible This Year? · · Score: 1

I still don't think Sony will be able to do anything here in the US this year. If they do manage to rush something out the door, then maybe Nintendo will even have a chance to make up some lost share (sacrificing time for quality is my point). Either way, I would think that we would have heard reports of manufacturers working on parts and such, like we have with the Xbox 2, and N Revoluion. Shit like that is always leaked. I have this funny feeling that the PS3 will stay on my "meh" list just like the PS2 did. Especially so if they use the same shitty uncomfortable controllers like the have for the last two consoles.

  2. What Whaaat? on Internet Explorer's Share Dips Below 90% · · Score: 1

You mean, you don't remember pulling your first Mac Plus out of the box and using your bundled copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer immediately after setting it up? Looks like someone hasn't been taking their ginko biloba :P

  3. Keeping the dust out on PCs For A Workshop Environment? · · Score: 1

My stepdad has his home server located in his attached garage. He just used some steel and plywood shelving and sealed of the outsides with plexiglass fastened down with velcro (all the way around each piece of plexiglass) The enclosure is large enough (about 2"x4"x8") and the western Washington climate is temperate so overheating isn't really a problem.

He even went all out with a SCSI RAID array on an older model server, and I haven't heard of any problems at all. Also, the garage is his main woodworking shop, along with a little metalworking. He used a CRT monitor inside the enclosure, and mouse and keyboard (cheapies) are fed out onto a nearby workbench.

  4. The name is descriptive...? on New Digital Audio Formats · · Score: 1

Of how much it will cost to get one's entire music collection in a new format? Two up front and two in the rear is probably quite accurate.

Besides, how the hell am I supposed to get The Shizit to re-record with super-hi-fi equipment when they've broken up?!?! That's bullshit :P
