If they wanted to write a story about your car, it wouls be an ask slashdot "I have lots of money, but no taste". Oh, and fsck YOU and YOUR BMW. YOUR xenon headlights blind MY eyes. So just wait untill you blind me and I crash my Ford Taurus into your sorry ass.

IF you believe in such a capatalistic world, you would either A. Buy the product becuase you like it and are willing to give him money, or B. Ignore it and move on

It will move very slwoly, and take a hell of a long time to get back, but once it gets close enough, rochea's (sp?) limit will be hit and the gravity of the earth and moon will rip the smaller (in this case the moon) apart. It will also cuase CONSIDERABLE damage to the surface and outer type part of the earth, not to mention the fact that the tides would have been increasing all this time and would suddenly go away. Then the earth will have rings =).

The moon could have a dramtic effect on the evolution of our planet, first making the tides less, then greater, then much greater, then destroy a good deal of the earth's crust, and then have no tides at all. Good point about the moon, I had forgotten about that.

Maybe it will give you a clearer idea of whats going on rather then just saying vioent games do that. What ever happened to letting out your agressions in a safe way? If I get pissed, I have 3 basic options. I can go cry about it (doesent solve anything), I can get sweet glorious revenge (only creates MORE bad), or I can take out my anger in a safe, controlled way. Video games provide a safe, efficient, great way of doing that. There have been a few incidents where I have been really pissed off, so I go and play some Half-Life, or BattleField 1942, and after a while, Im totally relaxed, and I dont feel like killing anyone anymore.

And in any case, there was violence before there were video games... so how can you blame them? Its not like its had a DRAMATIC increase! Get a life! And stop using my pass time as your scape goat!!!

Yes, maybe one show takes half an hour, and one may take an hour, but they all start on the hour or half an hour. Shows dont start at 7:13 or 8:46 for the most part. Numerous studies have been done on exactly how much advertising during what kind of show can be displayed. They also know how much time a show needs to be shown to hook the watcher before a commercial can be shown. Now, if all the shows all know the same amount of time between content and commercial, and they all start at the same time... it can reasonably inferred that the commercials would be shown at roughly the same time. Im not sure how far it falls before the pull of the earth and friction of the air are at equilibrium, but im sure that happens relativly quickly. The air on a planet with a smaller amount of gravity would be thinner (less gravity to hold it down) and thus the rain would fall faster... but I dont think it would matter too much (if the atmosphere is thick enough to support cloud formation, it should be fairly thick near the surface of the planet).
