Um... Cops arent that smart.... Neither are the Fedz... Hell the last airport I was at... (name to be mentioned never on/.) had an access point listed as "*insert-name-of-airport* Control Tower" , After some network snooping and the fact that my flight was getting ready to board I decided against doing anything naughty... Hopefully someone has locked it up but in todays times they probably could care less about a "wireless access point" because if it is at the airport it must be secure! Cough.. Cough..
These are classic.. I have a word to respond to them with... Entrapment.. I once was going to attempt to become a park ranger but I was blessed with a family unexpectedly and discovered that finding a job as a park ranger locally (Ohio) is impossible so I would have to move.. Then the salary came in to play.. Topping out at a whopping 40-50K just did not sound like the life for me.. If they would quit purchasing robo-deer and start hiring hard working folks to actually work the fields they might have more arrests for poachers..
I agree with someone above, there are too many deer around the state here in Ohio and I can only imagine other states have the same issues. Cars are deers' worst predators not Guns..
As for poaching.. well I do know that here in OH they are able to just about take everything you own if you are caught hunting or shooting outside of the parameters of the laws. You might lose your hunting license for 10 years for your first or second offense but they will also confiscate vehicles, guns, meat, refrigerators, knives, saws, fish, antlers, bows, camo, alcohol, cabins, houses and any thing else you may have that is closely related to harvesting in your house. Full search and seizure is not fun and you may be able to get your stuff back (possibly years and court costs). I witnessed a friend of a friend get busted by the locals and they pretty much took everything he had and since he was caught poaching he was never able to get it back. His uncle was arrested by FEDS for obtaining a licence and legally shooting a deer in KY while he was under suspension in OH. Scary stuff like that will help people obey the laws!!
Biggest rule I have is to avoid hunting from the truck and be sure to not load your gun till you get past the fence or power lines:-)
This is great but why would I give some moron from somewhere else access to something that his govt restricts him from.. I am not the USA I dont need to free the world.. If they dont like how things are where they live they are human and they can leave and come here to the USA it seems we let people live here for free anyways!
I personally use ssh and tunnel stuff like IRC, MSN, AOL, HTTP, and GTALK to my home non-filtered address. So it is possible for me to view pr0n at work without some nosy SOB watching what I do.. Granted the feds are always watching but last thing I want is the Dweeb police telling me what I can and cant do. I am technically savoy enough that I dont need anyone telling me what I can look at at work. That and I dont use windows so this makes it much easier to avoid security meausures.. Placed in the wrong hands these tools could be dangerous.
The reason that Marvel is saying there was no profit is because they have to pay the overpaid executives who did nothing more than sign papers that gave the go ahead. This is just as typical as the goal oriented employees who work for board driven company. While the employees get the job done the board makes the decisions then the board feels as if the employee is happy. While the employees drive and motivation go down the tubes for the company and those employees focus their attention on pursuing a new position to better themselves and not the employer.
Stan- Sue the (insert any fitting cussword here) out of them and make sure the media keeps on this!! I know a few coorperate people who might feel the same way..... (Enron, worlcom, etc..) You have a legitimate case!!
Why not create a device that will capture the projectile, sealing the device and then add a filter in the system that prevented the sender and their network from that same attack permanantly:-)

The true question is what RoadRunner installs on PC's that will not allow you to perform the standard install by yourself to save the fee..
I work for ISP and we have cable plant that works great. The average person can use our software to install our package and get up and running providing the cable techs have installed the right filters on the lines.. When I visit my aunt & uncles house to do their manual install of RoadRunner I am unable to resolve any DNS no matter what I do to the Win98SE machine... I do the normal kicking around of the computer and software and still nothing.. Hell I even tried getting my Linux Laptop to resolve DNS...... Nothing... I could ping by ip all day long just not get DNS... It was late I was tired so i told them to call RoadRunners techs... My cousin said the guy was there maybe 5 minutes and it was up and running...... He told my cousin that I must not have known what I was doing.... Hahah let me talk to RR's technicians who have been trying to force me a new ipaddress for the last year and a half....:-) Anyways What software did that moron put on their computer that allowed them to work so fast?? Mind you they got charged something like $24.95 for the install..... has me boggled and mad:-)
