If you're thinking about having sex in a sauna, I advice you to get some clue.
The sauna is and has always been seen as the neutral zone, the clean zone.
Having sex in the sauna is something americans and other gay people have comed up with.

In Sweden, Norway an Finland the sauna is sacred.

It would still be in PCM format, which is in a sense compressed.
Also, the well regarded audiophile Mark Levinson happens to claim the same thing about the PCM format - it's an hazard!

I think you'll find alot about Levinsons point of view on the subject doing a google.

That said I believe this article and Levinsons ideas are nothing but a marketing ploy to undermine DVD-audio in favour to SACD, it smells too fishy for me.

I understand what you're saying, but I'm not sure you're understanding me.
Perhaps I was confusing you when talking about the "nature of math", what I was addressing was the essence of math, e.g. the logic behind it. Sorry for that.

If you still think I'm wrong I'd like to see the proof, it would be earth shacking news, somewhat like "Scientist inside a box proves there's nothing outside the box!".
You could of course try using paradoxes but I doubt you'd get far with that. Somewhere you'd probably end up with an assumption, like "There's only one kind of true logic, because that is the only logical way" or something similar to the trapped scientist.

    You're the one wrong here.
The universal math that we are observing can only be used to describe relations within its scoop - they must be suitable for its nature.
And that, in it self, does not conclude that there is only one kind of math with one specific nature(nature as in "nature of math").

    Ex:
The values 1, 2, PI and so forth that you're talking about are possible to describe with our math, since it's suitable for its nature.
But with a different type of math with a different kind of nature, it might be impossible to describe them, or describe them as a concept even (=> the void math for instance, where no relations can exist)

    > They won't care that they can't make a copy of it, because the copy will invariably be of worse quality, and that is exactly what the audiophile doesn't want. Any serious audiophile would laugh at a cd reader that can not deliver a perfect *copy* of the bits on a cd to a dac for conversion or digital out for other means. The only thing an audiophile cares about is to make as perfect conversions as possible - that includes making perfect copies from source to conversin, to begin with.

To "believe" isn't rational. It's silly humbug.
And that, my friend, is why people question the sanity of people who spend their days believing.

.cdda - CD digital audio, isn't in cd-data format, it's in cd-audio format! You need to extract it before (or while) you encode. I'm not sure if oggenc can extract cd-audio but either way I wouldn't do it. It's easy to foul the extraction process if the computer is under heavy (or any) load so encoding while extracting, which is what you want, isn't something I'd recommend.
