Hey, mabye my ethics are a little off or something, but how much they're paying you shouldn't have any impact on your job performance. You know the old, "If a job's worth doing its worth doing right"? That does't mean you withhold info that the client might need.

Retrieving the data is also an issue, but they're not going to worry about that until they figure out an easy way to get rid of rat fecal matter. Hey, I have a GREAT idea!! To save money, all you have to do is disconnect all cables from your computer and, voila! No more problems!
