This is, imho, not a great idea. All it's going to do is cause children to leave their cell phones at home, so parent's are totally unable to get into contact with them. At least that's what I'd have done as a child

Only the windows ipod uses FAT. The mac native format is (I believe) HFS+. I was forced to reformat FAT in order to sync, as the ipod firmware will only read FAT or HFS+. I would have been much happier using ext2, as it's natively supported on my system. I haven't been able to find any decent HFS+ drivers for linux. I wonder if this means apple will add more support, stop selling windows ipods, or pay MS.

Who am I kidding, they'll just release a new ipod, and make people upgrade for the "new features".

Do I sound bitter? Maybe they should have given the Gen2 ipods playlist on the go support.

Actually, while I was a waiting tables at a diner, I discovered that by putting cubes of jello in a glass of cold seltzer, you could create a minimalistic lava lamp. If the seltzer is cold enough, the jello won't melt, and the bubbles will adhere to the cubes, causing it float, and when it reaches the top, the bubbles will pop on the surface, leaving the jello to fall back down. Pretty neat trick to impress the customers, especially if you leave it sitting on the counter.

I think it's possible that there's something we're missing in the equation. I might be wrong about this, but perhaps the reason violence is allowed is to discourage violence. I know that I often cringe, or say to myself "OUCH. I don't want that happening to me". On the other hand, sexually explicit movies have the opposite reaction (ie. they make me want to have sex). Either way, I don't think it's the place of the government to regulate what anyone can watch.

I believe very strongly in personal freedom, but at the same time, I believe that my rights end where yours begin. as long as what I'm doing doesn't affect anyone else, I don't see how it can be wrong. at the same time, how can we tell when some form of communication is about to affect others negativly without inspecting it all (which I find deplorable)? if anyone has an answer, I'd love to hear it
