the way registrars work has nothing to do with what they hand out to people and what they restrict. registrars simply hold the registration for domain names.
he had more of a point when he said especially this one, but since he said especially, not 'in the case of this one', it was wrong.
that doesn't mean it's impossible to register it. that's why he wonders. that assumption you made was one of the worst i've ever seen. anyone can register a.co.uk, so why not a.kids.us? (i know why, but the point is is that it has nothing to do with registrars)

yeah, smart - but if you do more research, the average temperature of ocean water is probably about 3 degrees (most of the water is not surface water)... so it will go up to 4 degrees and contract.

are you sure that will work? i did a little decomposing pumpkin project during freshman year around halloween... i'm now a junior and the pumpkin is still happily sitting on my balcony... AND is orange...... i just don't know about the texture...
a DVD is just a disc that stores information. so a DVD-R is just one that consumers can use to burn their own information (or movies, if they wish). so you can turn a DVD-R in to a DVD movie disc, all you need is the correct formatting. in fact, a video cd has the same format, just that you can't store very high quality movies on them (i got starwars episode 2 on a cd... just with a really bad quality source mpeg...)... and that's the beauty of compression, you can store just about any length movie on any disc, as long as you tune down the quality enough so that it compresses better.
