You are correct that some banks use ActiveX features, but I stated that my bank has a forms-based interface. Not only that, but the original poster stated in his question that his bank uses a "Flash" interface. Thus my answer to both the original poster and to you is that there is flash support through a native flash player binary for linux. My only problem with the original post was that it equated his distaste for Flash with an inability to use Flash under Linux, which is not true.
How exactly can you throw "Linux-Friendly" into the question when this is really a Flash problem. I hate flash as much as most people but really you should do your own research, i.e. call some banks and ask about their online banking. I know my bank, UMB, does use a form-based system. I am sure it is not terribly hard to find a bank that does not have a flash interface, it just seems that every ask-slashdotter has no idea how to use a phone book.
Is it just me, or is this product already out in Japan and in competition with the Nintendo DS? I was under the impression that most of the reviews were running on actual hardware.
You've got your left and right buttons mixed up. It's left for moving the cursor and right for selecting objects (object mode) and vertexes (vertex mode).
A CPU performing in the P2 class is barely powerful enough to run a modern PDA, much less a desktop system.
Tell this to the millions of people that used a PII as their desktop system (or still do). Unless you mean that a PII won't run XP?... because it will, but it will run Windows 2000 just fine; rather speedy in fact. I just upgraded from a box at 450Mhz to 1800Mhz both running Windows 2000. Not much difference as far as the Desktop goes.
Why dont they build the screen in like the GBA and use sony flashsticks to transfer binaries they can sell online?
Maybe because that's not the segment of the market this is targeted at? The market share this is going after is the nostalgic people. There was already a sega 16-bit portable called the NOMAD. It was mildly successful untill Sega stopped producing it.
Karma Whore!
I can't believe that people still think that large sites like CNN will become slashdotted. It shows ignorance on your part and it infuriates me to see duplicate posts of an article. Your post was not helpful. Save the whoring for a time when a server really is in jeopardy.
Having used Blender since something like 1.8 I would say that everything past 2.26 has been a minor update, but this is a very good step in the right direction. I love Blender. Open source projects often fail, but Blender will still rule the amature 3d market. The cool thing is, though, that recent Blender work is rivaling the Big Boys (3ds Max, Maya). For some great artwork and examples visit elysiun.com and check out the forums.
Did you read the fucking article? This has almost nothing to do with the Bush administration! It is about a sea between some Asianic nations that is losing its water to poor irigation. Even if president Bush wanted to step in and do something, he couldn't because is it a local affair between the Asian nations. Also this does not have anything to do with Global warming. <P> So before you go around slamming the Bush administration and big business and global warming please RTFA! <P> </rant>
Yes, I'm talking about you, munkeyspanker21@Kazaa
What's even stupider is that at least 20 other people tried for the same name before this guy.
What's even stupider is that in your failed attempt at humor you didn't bother to understand that registration for Kazaa is nonexistant. More than one munkeyspanker can exist. It is not individual.
Nope, it is still @kazaa. If you don't use the program, just don't comment on its details. The default username has changed over the years, but it has always been @kazaa.
there is any way to stop the RIAA from getting a list of your shared files, but if you check the "don't share files" box (which would screw everyone else) does that stop a file list command? Can I just benefit off the benevolents whom choose to take risks? Anyone?

Bittorrent trackers do fail quite often. I am sure you haven't used the program enough for that to happen yet. This is a problem especially for larger.torrents. Think of one 800Kb file being downloaded 10 million times, like when the Matrix reloaded was released. 800 x 10000000 = 8000000000 or 8 billion Kb or 8000 GB of bandwidth. Now, can your fileserver sustain 8000 GB of bandwidth in tracker files, not to mention the initial few seeds? We are talking serious server-rot.
on the flash memory. I would think that flash memory would be a bad choice for information gathering/constant read/write cycles. Does anyone know how long flash will last? Although these probably are expendable.
Dud, you got your link wrong. http://drupal.org.
That's IA64. The difference is in the instruction set.

Let me whip out my linux binary of flash player. Let me look around for a second... BAM! Here it is: http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/downl oad.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform =Linux&P3_Browser_Version=Netscape4
That wasn't so hard. If there was a Google test you wouldn't pass.

No problem, really. I blabber on all the time. Kerry or Bush; what's the difference.

A mostly non-erratic orbit that circles the sun and not other heavenly bodies.

Stop the fucking SCO jokes!!! It's over.
Thank you! Now where are my mod points?...
Mod parent up! I think he was trying to be funny.
yes - for all in fact, for about 2 years now, since blender 2.23

I do know a lot about kazaa, but I mostly use Direct Connect (DC++). I agree, Kazaa sucks.

If this is true, mod this guy up. Why is he 0:Informative?
