What is revolutionary about this? How are the end customers going to be charged? What if I only buy stuff for $3.. How am I going to pay Peppercoin? By credit card? As a consumer, eventually I will have to take out the credit card anyway...
In central London all the bus stops contain LED displays showihng how long you'll have to wait for each bus. Likewise, on the tube (underground, subway) their are simialr displays. Normally they say things like "Baker Street 3minutes; Chancery Lane you'll be lucky" but hey...
Have you guys found these LCD displays to be working? I've always thought it must be some highly advanced random number generator to be able to get the information wrong at all times!
So often when I am waiting for a bus, the display gently tells me there are no bus no 23 approaching at the moment, and all of a sudden out of nowhere two or three 23s arrive happily together...
It's ridiculos how the providers are charging you for GPRS traffic. The amount of traffic a MB of data creates just doesn't justify a cost of around $3 no matter how you look at it. If a network has got GPRS coverage the network radio stations will be able to handle both voice and data so there is no additional cost for the providers when it comes to data, still they are so stubborn trying to make loads of many out it even though no one wants to use it.

You don't need anything more than, say, a 600mhz machine for Office, internet, email and just about anything a home user might want to do
I thought people learnt not to make statements like this by now... But on the other hand, maybe 640k is still enough for you?If this becomes reality I'm sure someone will invent a script to ddos crows sitting on their powerline.
There you go - you should spread your inventions to everyone for no cost at all.
;)
Brilliant idea. You mean the banks should have given out the readers for free.

"It can also be programmed to send e-mail if it hears a big noise or sees anything unusual in the home, Mitsubishi said."
I wonder if, while you are away on a business trip, you could program the thing to hide under your bed and report any noise it hears!
Hey guys, be easy on him. He was 60 years old, most likely he was just getting rusty :)
