When talking with friends, the policy of any given university that we went to was that product keys, as in individual product keys, were associated with your student id and you could just jump on the school website, log in, and pull up all your keys and/or download the oem disks to install.
I suppose you could compare a large school campus with a business and justify vlk, but the environment is so different that i can't fathom how someone could sell people on getting a shared key... for everyone.
And why can't I find any torrents for 'OSU STUDENT ONRY!' programs, eh? eh? For validation purposes of course.
Thats what they were before the RIAA found out they could not only make money through them by increasing exposure, but by charging for the actual video itself!
I wonder what MTV would say if studio asked for an enomorous amount of money to be able to show their videos, instead of throwing it at MTV to get more air time.
Employers are more frequently putting the cost of health care on the employees now...so as the cost of health care increases, companies transfer that cost directly to the ones that want it. Wage stagnation is still an issue.
Stuff like this has been around for a long time (I remember playing with spherexp years ago) but your average windows user doesn't typically use virtual desktops, and your typical linux user doesn't need all the special effects when switching virtual desktops.
Things are now not only measured up against windows by newer users, but also mac os x. And with os x pushing all their eye candy features, I'm sure we'll see more special/neat gui effects.
Because everything on wikipedia is straight from peer reviewed journals.

Firefox decides the appropriate time for that...which is usually at around 15 windows and 120 tabs for me

Hey! Atleast they decided to implement whiteboards instead of stealing those other guys' blackboard idea.
