The real problem is the old saying of of "Information wants to be free." Major movie releases are mega-hyped events where the content is something that is kept out of public view until the designated day, hour, minute of a moment, but within the process has to pass through the hands of thousands of people. It takes only one person to make an unauthorized copy at that level to get it onto the P2P networks.
Well, the Diamond/Rio ogg player that was on here earlier also had FLAC support. Would be nice for more portable players to have that now that the disks are getting huge.
Unfortunately that keyboard died with a spilled soda and I brought my trusty Keytronic Lifetime spare from home into work.
if you'd had an IBM Model M you could have just put it in the dishwasher...
yeah i found my model M's in an attic, and they were rather dirty... i ran them through the dishwasher and then ran just the key caps through again. They work fine and are beautiful now.
Also when i was taking them from my work to my car, i dropped one down into the loading dock form a stairway (about 8 feet) and it didnt affect it in the slightest way!
also, I saw on ABC News some former NASA engineers saying that the orbiter Columbia was too heavy to reach the ISS.
The engineer (i forgot who it was) said that Columbia and Challenger both would have been too heavy to reach it, but Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour were lighter and thus were the three orbiters used to service the ISS.
This may or may not be true, i'm just relaying what i heard...
actually, the only reason i use blogs is i have one that i use as a developer's journal for my site... they're very useful for this. otherwise i'd never touch them.
