Maybe I did not get my point across but that is pretty much what I meant in as many words.
I know PC users who will not touch Windows because they prefer DOS. They hate Windows for the same reason they hate the Mac. I have also seen many PC users dissing the Mac for no reason other than it is not a PC.
That is not to say that they do have some valid points about the Mac OS. Just as I have valid points about the Windows OS. Since I have used it everyday and have since its inception.
I have my PC for the few apps that can't be replicated on the Mac....mostly some Audio Apps and of course some games.

Google would be a great deal if Microsoft could purchase it. Look at all that white space on the main search page. Just think how many Microsoft ads could fill that space. It would be better ad space the MSN messenger is.
With googles technology MS could weed out redundant and taboo topics like Linux, UNIX, Mac, Opera, Quicken and the like. Add MS .net technology to the pages and Google would only work with a Windows PC running IE.
Of course right now Google is designed to be quick loading, simple and efficient which pretty much goes against Microsoft software guidelines. Then again it might be better if Google had a search wizard and a paper clip avatar showing you how to search the net.

A lot of them switch over to the Mac after a while or use both. Some do not switch but still don't rag on it and are honest about the flaws of both platforms.
I remember going into a computer store in the 80's and someone was showing me Windows 1.0. She was telling how bad the Mac was and how powerful Windows 1.0 was. I said show me something this can do the Mac cannot. She said, "Well you can use a mouse and it has this neat little calculator". I said "And?" She said "Well you can run programs". I said "And?", She said "Well that is more than the Mac can do" and she cheerfully went about playing with the Calculator.
I wonder if she ever went on to work in Redmond.

I use both Panther and XP Pro on my Mac and PC and there is no contest as to which one is better or more stable. MacOS X wins that hands down. Those that do know both and work with them in their jobs like MS for one reason and one reason only. Spy stations and digital diplomatic traffic are there as well as a host of other things to listen to. The digitally controlled receivers make listening to and decoding these signals much easier. As far as noise goes it depends on how well built the PC you are using is....as stated before Macs seem much better for this purpose....less RF interference. They used to gauge property taxes by the appearance of the outside of your house. Hence there were some dumpy shacks that looked like mansions on the inside...they did away with that one. One of the years I lived there they forbid children from working in the fields. The strawberry harvest took place about the same time school let out for summer. The kids loved it because they made cash for the summer and the farmers had a fresh batch of labor always ready for picking. It was win/win for everyone. The state passed the law a week or two before harvest season began. The farmers lost a bundle that year....the kids lost out as well. The same year they were talking about charging out-of-state motorist to use their rest areas along side the interstates. Not sure if that one passed...we left! Once the feedback it the website I finally got an email from him saying he had a death in the family and that he would be sending it shortly, even though he stated before that it was already "in the mail"...also berating me for leaving bad feedback and contacting ebay and paypal. 14 days later after calling the dogs off him and still not getting the drive I paid for I emailed him again...the drive is in the mail..several days later...no drive. After a few more days I contacted ebay and paypal and told them if I did not get a package tracking number within 24 hours that they could go ahead with charges....Like magic I got the tracking number. A few days later a 4x8 CD burner arrived..not the 4X4X16 that he advertised. I told him that the drive he shipped was not the one at auction, but I would keep it because I was tired of his lies and dealing with him. To my surprise he roasted me with his feedback and I had little recourse to explain it a single line what he had done. Southern California does have one seasonal effect on radio waves however. In the summer when a high pressure area sits in the pacific ocean radio links between the west coast and hawaii are possible. This is called Troposhperic Ducting and people in So-Cal may hear radio stations both AM and FM coming in from Maui. The stronger the duct, the higher the frequency that can be passed between two points. I had a 2 meter repeater (Amatuer Radio) that was meant to be low-level, local area only. When ducting was happen my range went from about 20miles to well over 400miles. It would cover the entire Sacramento/ San Joaqiun valley stoping only when you went out of the duct.
