    You can call federal government employees stupid all you want, but they earn almost twice as much as the average American. They have been getting big raises every year while the rest of us who actually produce have been getting pay cuts or freezes.

    Blame Windows. These vulnerabilities don't exist, or at least are not exploitable/exploited to the same degree on other platforms.

    No, really... don't. The only "security" feature *nix has over Windows in this respect is the execute flag. If Linux suddenly because a viable desktop platform, I assume you that the first feature to be clamored for would be a user-friendly way of setting or ignoring the flag (like a dialog box on which everyone would automatically click "OK"). The trojan scanned the document folders on the machine, which would be accessible to any program unless you had it running as a "nobody"... but then how would your programs keep their configuration settings?

    - Printers folder made needlessly complex for things like merely viewing the pending jobs. Instead of simply updating the entire view, they hid the 15-year-old-design queue window in a link that takes three clicks to get to.

    The max for 32-bit Windows XP isn't 3 GB: it's 4 GB. MS did needlessly hamstring it by disabling the use of PAE to move drivers into the >4 GB area. However, the result varies depending on the installing hardware to between 2.75 and 4 GB of available RAM; therefore, your claim is inaccurate.

    If by "personal freedom" you mean being free to go to jail if you are a conscientious objector and refuse to serve in the military, then yes. Oh year, and you're free to pay taxes to support the state Lutheran church, while being barred from preaching in a public place.

    An "even distribution of wealth" means those who are productive have their reward taken away and given to those who aren't.

    Big government is not good.

    The President has a 44-48% approval rating and the Democratic congress had a 15-20% approval rating. There isn't a "turnout" for surveys.

    Do you seriously think they care? FDR first set the price of gold at a bogus level below what it was really trading for on the open market, then wrote an executive order that confiscated everyone's gold WITHOUT DUE PROCESS. It doesn't make sense for the federal government to grab gold again, but it would certainly make sense for them to default on all the American bond holders.

    Why are we targeting Fox News again? For the lulz? Because I don't think any of the talking heads at Fox News supports this kind of security theater-- and you even admitted that in the case of Beck. Also, everyone claims here that Fox is full of conservative ideologues who hate Obama because he's (half) black, so why would they support any of the administration's policies?     Well, he said that in the interest of national security he wanted to build a civilian force as large and well-funded as the military. He didn't actually say it would be brownshirts, but since he never elaborated I don't know what to think.
