    The idea of making wind farms is so absurd. It is a remant of big business. Wind mills should be on the top of skyscrapers! Get the power, very close to the users. What better way to say F-you to the arabs than a NY skyline covered with power generators. 40+ stories up, you get lots more wind than at ground level. No miles of copper from some off shore wind farm. No miles of copper from a desert solar array.

    We need to user fission,
    it is a step on the fusion.

We have short term goals, we must have some short term accountability. Kid fails in school, kid fails to qualify for tax credit. No welfare for low kids with bad grades.     This might be ok for a small town that wants to stop the Amish from racing horses. Real cities are more interested in smooth traffic flow. If the lights are timed properly, the speeder hits a red light anyway. Messing up the whole grid to stop one lead foot a block earlier is simply for little towns. Or town fathers with little minds.

    Back in the old days, drive makers came out with RLL drives. They had to pass stringent QA to be sold as RLL drives. RLL was faster and had more density. Then we found out how to hook up a plain old drive to it. Amazing 10 meg slow drive in now 20 meg fast drive!!! They usually blew up in a year. Just before the service agreement ran out. You can also put nitrous oxide into your car and make a 4 cyl jap box go 150mph. It still won't run like a porche.

    Teachers cannot be EVERYWHERE!
    See Karate! All kids need to learn to protect themselves. If there are no easy targets, the bullies will have to learn other tactics.
    Get the kid laid, if he wants more, he has to learn to act like a normal person around girls. More A+ students work for C students, than run companies. Look people in the eye and try to figure out what they are thinking and make those into favorable thoughts.

    I studied magic, and you can get good at making the coin land on the desired side after a while. You start flipping the coin exactly the same way the same number of rotations. They should have gone to the streets and had randome people flip the coins for them and see if most people's flips have an even number of rotations. They have found a statistical anomoly based on thier own flipping tendencies.

    Document all your changes, oh yeah all those 'programmers' hired in late 90s did that. When the turnover left you with buggy code and the author on the street, maintaining that crap can lead to re-writes. You can add stuff to a good base, but when the base is rotten you have to replace it.
