    A month ago I read the same thing from novell "We're the first compliant to the Liberty Alliance specs !"

    But don't "fight" yourselfs Liberty Alliance guys, it's all about kick assing M$'s passport isn't it ? And that's a good reason, so go for it !

    We don't want M$ to master our digital identites ! We don't want any M$ at all !

    Think my name would be James Smith. There are thousands, of James Smiths out there, how to find me ? The name is not everything, it doesn't define or even identifiy something, especially domain names. People google to get where they want !

    It's the same with phone numbers one doesn't go and try combinations until to find the right one, you take the phone book and look for it, using name, adress, etc.

    So I don't think domain should be cnsidered as properties, they are a part of information useful or not, to get or find a company or whatever is behind that name.

    The trial is about falsification. Network Solution s shouldn't be on th defendant side, they whole thing is because of their lack of awerness and negligence.

    Hey, as this is about graphic cards. What do you suggest me, an ATI Radeon or an nVidia GeForce ?

    I always go ATI cards but I'm thinking about changing to nVidia, what's best ? I'm using mostly Linux as OS !

    It's not about changing concept or philisophy or whatever, it's about choice. In Linux you have a the freedom to choose for your desktop manager, KDE, GNOME, GNUSTEP, WM, etc. !

    As e-commerce is inevitably related to security issues, it is in my opinion rather risky to outsource it. Security is a domain were control and knowledge is most important, which exactly you don't get by outsourcing, well perhaps there is an SLA or alike, but that's no insurance.

    My advice if you have, even only a little, experience or competence in programming related to programming security, go for in-house, you won't regret it (see in 5 years :)) !

    In-house is more work, at least for the start, but will prevent you from a lot headaches ! Especially for small companies outsourcing is dangerous (if it's related to the main business), 'cause the power of small companies is flexebility, outsourcing will break this !

    Hope this can help you decide !

    The Brain isn't free :( newdocms is, HUGE advantage ! The Brain doesn't work on non-Window$ systems, newdocms does (well not on GNOME, my favorite, but it'll come), even higher advantage !

    Bytheway, I din't want my computer to know what I think, I'm for freedom of minds :D

    No, I don't wanna get an older box ? Sorry if my message sounded alike. I'm rather looking forward to get a more powerfull one, techno is evolving fast yes, but that's no reason to stay in the stoneage :o) (nice smily, haven't seen it before)

    With the noise I have to agree, but I don't think the Pentium is loads better :|

    P.S.: What does this IMHO mean ?? Could some tell me ?

    I pretty agree with you but, where do you find old boxes ? The whole computer market is overclocked overheated and overmoneyed ! I got my AMD 550MHz since three years now, and wouldn't give it away, but even that is too much for the use I have : wife's reading and sending mail, sister surfing on the Internet, myself got not enough time to really appreciat the power. But now there are 2GHz and more, cool yeah, but does it really enhance working speed ?? It allows you to faster kill in Quake3 (or alike), but that's pretty all it does !

    Well, it's true, it's more abour StarOffice than Linux, but Sun's loads better than Microàoft anyway, so dont' complain :)

    The thing is that once Linux is in there they will be fascinated about it and won't let it go anymore, that'sgood news !

    (about your China issue, I agree with the "China Bans Windows" part, which is actually true, or was true at the beginning of this year, but the second part's a it to utopic :) )

    Compared to any other part of a project, the GUI developement is most of the time a pain in the ass. I'm talking about multi-platform apps, not M$ stuck kinda stuff.

    Well, Delphi, has become multi-platform too lately, it's true.

    Nevertheless, Nakedobjects's not the hype, see my own reply :).

    The idea is really great I think, cause coding GUI in Java, and in any other language, is really time consuming ! With this little help, which still stays very flexible, great work can be done in less time !

    Here in Europe, some countries have laws sayingthat the management is liable if the get broken in (cracked) and the IT security was too lose ! That's the only language Managers are understanding, so I think it's a good idea, no ?
