It's Google Python, Java/C# flavored.
Time will tell if this language adds anything new and juicy to the market. As Stroustrup put it: "There are two types of programming languages: those that everyone's complaining about, and those which are never used".
If you set up a commersial solution for something like this - everbody wants it - you'll get sued. If you do it the pirate way, you'll get sued. What way will gain most progression nowadays (letting alone you don't establish them in America at all)?
I do not mean to be the iTroll here, but I honestly wonder how this story made it to the front page. The point was finally that the judge ruled that boy to give up something valuable to him, it could have been anything. Now it just happened to be an X-Box and *BAM*, it's here on Slashdot.
Moreover, justice has confiscated computers too many times before to make the news flash complete. This article had even so made much more impression if the machine happened to be the tool of the commited crime or likewise, as it implies that the X-Box itself had something to do with the final judgement. However, so was not the case.
From there - you'll know the flavor of Doctor you like, and be able to make a more informed choice.
The nice thing about a Time Travel series - is you need not watch it sequentially!
It's not too picky to point out that it's Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant, and nothing else. Besides that, I fully agree: Eccleston -> Tennant. When you've melted the concept, you can choose to continue with the modern branch (Smith, 11th Doctor) or get back to where it all began in the sixties. The latter will turn you into a full Who-geek, as it is a much greater effort in getting the series, watching them in order an.. well.. actually see them ALL.
Whatever you choose: have a happy time watching Dr. Who!
If to get really serious, they should choose one side for the window control buttons and stick with it for eternity. This issue is NOT just to wink away with a "Cool, new theme! But I can change it anytime"-comment.
The big competitors to Ubuntu (besides other Linux distros), Windows and Mac OS, has learned this a long time ago. People knows how it looks like and exactly how to use it. I'm not saying this theme change is a bad thing (personally, I think the lighter one is actually beautiful), but for the average user, this should be seen as very major upgrade! Newbies will find it hard to see why the buttons are moved if they would change that again.
"Why did they change the computer? They said Ubuntu was free and easy to use, but they change my computer all the time! I want my other computer back! What was it called again, Windows something.."
"When Ubuntu founder Mark Shuttleworth gave his memorable keynote at OSCON in 2008, he articulated a vision of building a Linux desktop with industry-leading design and unbeatable usability. He promised that Canonical would invest in a broad effort to make Linux beautiful."
Keynote? Does this imply this guy is promoting an operating system he still doesn't belive in?
There is actually a service for this in Sweden, where a company has made it possible for anyone to send a text message to a certain number, where an "expert" (read: trained Googler) answers everything in his/her answer (also by SMS). I have not looked up if there's any audible operator available for the same task, but there certainly would be if the larger market asked for it.
...and uses their homebaked "X-RAID", which allows automatic expanding when adding larger drives with single drive failure protection. I've tried it, works fine!
The drives are not Netgear specific, but can be added from any SATA-manufacturer.
OK, so the solution is to place a mail server at TeliaSoneras net, create a VPN-tunnel (or SSH-tunnel) to it and send the mail that way instead?
Or the boring fix: frankly change from my own domain to GMail..
Bad, bad math.com.. The site seems to be Firefox incompatible - some of the guides includes buttons that doesn't work when you click them. Shouldn't be surprised though, it's on an IIS server.
Use IE 6.0/7.0 for math.com.
Hey, of course this move is moraly discussable, but is it even legal? Most countries (if not all) says "you can't write viruses" because that's destructive in various ways. But I've heard that the opposite is more or like encouraged: if there's a way of updating, fixing or adding features that all benefits the user - then of course you can!
Therefore: if Apple adds software (or hardware) that disables earlier functionality and spoils proper use of a device, it should actually be classed as a virus!
Be sure to right me if I'm totally wrong, though..
First of all: if you want your hit - start write on it yourself! A song can't be better then that you express your on feelings with your own lyrics/melody/harmony.
Secondly: I don't want to hear e.g. exactly the same melody/harmony with different lyrics all the time on my radio (which happens with music 'hits' anyway now and then..).
Does anyone know about the Fedora Project? Will they import Thunderbird 2.0 or will they go on with 1.5 as the did with Firefox, while waiting for the 3.0 release?
AllOfMp3:s greatest strength is (in my own opinion) a solution for everyone to choose whatever the music they want in whatever format they want. (Yes, I've tried it..) For example: As I choose Vorbis when ripping my own CD:s and there's poorly of those iTunes-like stores out there offering this format, some people choose allofmp3 just for the opportunity. Plus, you pay only for how many kbps you want the track in.
Conclusion: how possibly can anyone claim 0.70 USD for a lossy formatted track where you can't even choose exactly how you want it?
Since VMware released their server software for free, Microsoft has really had to look out. VMw actually are far before Microsoft in virtualizations, no wonder they worry about this!
To say "I will not vote in this election, beacuse I don't care" is like saying "...because I like it the way it is". That is a grave mistake. Everyone has an opinion and if a government has gone too far away from his or her values and beliefs, it's time for a switch. And in a democracy, that switch can only be done in one single way - by voting!
On the other hand, if you do like it the way it is, there's only one way to keep it that way - by voting!
Summary: You SHOULD vote, my friend.
As Ipod didn't supported vorbis, I wasn't even looking at its way after the release. If this is a working solution for playing vorbis (and more), I'm sure a Nano will do in my pocket after all!

..quickstep.
With Billie Piper and C. Ecklsteiner.
Then, David Tenet.
Then - I haven't seen them, but get caught up.
From there - you'll know the flavor of Doctor you like, and be able to make a more informed choice.

..with RC2 already. To late..
Guess you prefer FRA to read my mail instead. No thanks.

Maybe this would be a good way to powersupply future OLPC:s?

Doesn't work at all, if I use the syntax from the first program. There is no '--help' tag either.
Tried the program; it crashed. Segfault?

Then it wouldn't be scary at all, just normal..

..didn't products like Netscape die because such a decision?
