I believe it is one of the chief things keeping him from getting things done actually.....it creates too much turmoil, and distractions from the things he promised to get through...healthcare reform, tax reform, and the wall.

I used to love watching all the news channels, MSNBC, Fox, CNN...I'd watch all the Sunday morning news shows every week.

But man, I'm so over it....this tweet, that tweet...and the press jumping on this, or on that...just the constant "noise" is driving me to just watch nothing more weighty than Family Guy reruns on Netflix in endless succession.

If someone would take the fucking twitter phone away from him and advise him to just shut the fuck up and do leader stuff in the background quietly for awhile, I'd be ever so thankful.....

I don't like everything about him or his policies, but there are some I do....like the supreme court appointment (my main voting issues), and those listed above, but geez....can't he do it quietly and out of the spotlight a bit? He's his own worst enemy most of the time it seems....

That's not believable. That would create a HUGE safety problem. Anyone who told you that was lying to you, friend, trying to sell you shit you don't want or need.

I asked years back when looking at a vette, if I could get one without the OnStar system in it...they said no, it was not an option....and later said they didn't think it could be disabled. I saw recently that the same type system in on the Dodge Hellcat, which would be a fun muscle car to play with, but you can't even disable the wireless transmitter in it?!?!

So, I'm looking to stay with fun cars of a certain age as long as possible, that have as little computer system on them as possible, certainly none that have transmitters on them.

Yep, it's sure easy to feel superior by requiring everyone else in the world to be perfect at all times and then there wouldn't be any problems anymore anywhere ever.

Look, I grew up with plenty of that same culture, we had tons of nifty drugs to try, and many if not most of my friends and group tried them out.

Sure, there were some people that took it too far, but for 99% of the large group I ran with and grew up with, we all survived, have kids, good jobs, etc.

One easy rule of thumb...if you have to use a needle (or commonly use one with a certain drug), don't fuck with it.

I'd add one more thing for today, as that it is more prevalent than when I grew up (although we had some back then)....if it is synthetic, don't do it.

You could point to Prohibition as a failure and argue that "drug prohibition" would be as huge a failure, but there are two differences. First, Prohibition was enacted long after the use of alcohol became commonplace and widespread. Second, it was prohibition of something that is trivial to manufacture. It isn't quite as easy to make your own crack or heroin or fentanyl.
