Am I the only person on this planet that fails to see iPod's beauty? These things are blank looking, with a few sparse buttons... not up to apple's standards.
Please tell me why people seem so eager to photo theirs? They all look equally boring. Sorry if this seems like trolling, but I really need my sanity conforted
Why not patent using sounds to alert people? Since normal non-legal poeople aren't allowed to run the legal system, why should non-techies control the IT industry... cough DMCA cough...
25% of American housholds have guns, that's 192,000,000 guns floating around. These guns kill 31,000 Americans a year, and anyone trying to ban guns would be attacked from all sides (Rifle club has over 4.1 million members).
Yet, when a kid got inujured with a Super Soaker, their town banned them...
Go work out the logic!
Is multiplayer games, the only real objective is to kill people, and auto-aims do that... thus killing the point to the game
Knowing useful statistics allow the player to play better... but they must still tackle the problems
Wont this just cause most people to sit around and wait, people are getting more and more reluctant to spend money these days... the few that do pay will
a) Not see the code for a heck of a long time
b) End up paying all the money... for no good reason.
And everyone else then takes advantage of them... seems like too much goodwill is required for this to work well.
Ever seen a consumer complaints program where they expose and sort out people's problems. This is identical, what is the big deal. Wasn't there a bug that allowed you to use on of M$'s scripting pages (on HDD) to delete files? It's great that somebody tries to make M$ make more hardened software.
You mention that the games they play are mainly online ones that are shockwave and Flash, which will be happily read by any browser using the IE or Mozilla plugin structure (you may have to get the plugins from http://www.macromedia.com if they're not included - I don't directly use Mozilla, thus don't know).
As for the gui, with Red Hat there shouldn't be many change-over problems, and kids are smart anyway. They will most likely be using the mainstream apps like open office and mozilla, so no need to worry about poor gui design.
I say go for it, but secretly keep Windows on another partition just in case. Also, remember to buy them all some nice big Linux and C/++ books for christmas:)

So now M$ can crash my Hi-Fi as well as pc? Oh dear.
:(
It'll be like the whole Celine Dion scenario again... only everywhere
Thanks above, school education these days leaves out the "evil men take over world" use :(
So now we can... em.. er.. Anyone? Development's great, but as far as I can see new Amino Acids would have no purpose whatsoever :?
You sick, sick people. Google wont even serve me the images.
I have to say, it sounds like a wonderful thing, and we can even make suggestions - the National Infastructure Advisory Council must love us!
(Does National and Internet go together... I smell fish!)
If you can find your journal on one of the internet public archieves, that should be trusted enough.

Just use the "System restore" tool from the "System Tools" folder. Go back before the install.
Ever see spiders in banana crates? Well, what if when taking up from the operation you notice...

My main problem is that the DMCA lasts forever - ruining the whole point of copyrights, to provide incentive for people to work more on their product.
I do - it just requires motivation to kick in.
DOS: Denial of service
In none-geek: bombard the server with requests... ie overloading it as such
Only connected to M$ via the fact that they both give people access to where they shouldn't.

That sounds... scary But, I guess it's ok.

Not really - it is just more flexible and useful than windows.
I'm switching over now. The reason I stuck so long was games.
