Shutup. You could not possibly know what you are talking about. Do you even understand the fundamental principle of the human minds ability to associate known items of relevance with the current usage of a certian relevant product? AKA...if you knew the differences between the two items of your claimed open-source moral dilemma, you would not have opened your brain to make this comment.

For those of you who dont want to read that, I said something about open-source and spoke intelligently. Mod me up bitches.

Or Microsoft will stop trying to control the content available to the target audience?

Ok, doesnt really make sense, but consider this. How many people want software deciding what is important to see and what is not? During WWII, if the ENIAC decided whether I was to recieve medical treatment on the battlefield over some other person, I would be quite pissed...even if I was chosen to recieve treatment.

Basically, I view this as another method of limiting something we are already freely available to do, based on our own will. Even if it is an opt-in thing, people will opt-in...and before you know it we will be a few drones watching only what companies want us to. Sound like Harrison Bergeron to me.

Dont get me wrong, this is a very cool technology, and I completely support the development of it. I just dont like the niche it is meant to fill. AKA, Media censoring.

  4. Per Transaction Cost on The March Towards Micropayments · · Score: 1
Peppercoin 2.0 has reduced the transaction expense to less than 10 cents, Solomon said.

The reason they can do this is not because of their system, its because they are in near full compliance with the credit card companies security policies.
The per transaction rate for a credit card purchase isnt just a set in stone fee for each merchant, it is determined by the merchants compliance with the policies set forth by the credit card companies themselves.

Basically, in being in full compliance with the regulations, the per transaction fee can basically be cut to such low levels. Peppercoin itself is just a transaction house that sits in between the merchant and the bank. What they are providing is just a system that allows full or near full compliance, so therefore the transaction fees are next to nothing.
For example, the company Shift4 Inc Is a processor that forces competition between banks for fees, and enables customers to sustain a transaction rate at about $.06 plus 2-10% per authorization. They can do this because they are fully compliant with all security procedures/systems the CC companies require, and each of their merchants are as well.

This is definitely not the best option, but could most likely be the cheapest. Using the Linksys WRT54G routers, and the new firmware we have been raving about, place on on each floor. As for putting it in the shaft, that may not be a good option as the signal could die very easily in there. You would be better off placing them In an area where everyone can see them.

Now, in each room you could have the person buy a high gain antenna, or have them build their own cantenna and just shoot towards the AP along the ceiling to avoid pissing people off with radiation going through their minds.

In a small building like this...that situation should work very well.

The other drawback I see, however, is the ATA. I would perfer a better way to incorporate it into the existing phone wiring, but no good. I've since purhcased a dual handset cordless phone, and no problems since, going forward, it'll be easy to take with me whereever I go. Just get the broadband access connection, and walla.

I also have Vonage, and I managed to find a way around this.

I simply ran a telephone cable to the outside wiring of my house, where the telco's line would normally plug in. With a little cable stripping, I was able to remove the telcos line and splice the line from the ATA right on there.

Voila! Vonage is now integrated into the normal wiring of my house. I love it, its great!
