"Any chance R2 could be programmed to serve drinks or bring food into the man cave?" - I don't think so, Dave

I'd like to submit someone elses example page of the horrific way IE6 handles CSS2:

    http://www.meyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/complexspira l/demo.html

It not only describes what goes wrong, but why, how and where.

Oh: Eric: if you're reading this: Thanks! :)

The 2 GB limit is more a libc limit than Zope/Plone.

The solution to this is to compile Python with the right options against the correct libc.

The FreeZope.org server we run has a ZODB of on average about 8 GB and occasionally grows to over 10 GB.

In short, recompile Python like this:

    export CC="gcc -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64"
    ./configure --prefix=/some/directory --with-thread; make; make install

Warning, this probably is very linux specific :)

Disclaimer: As I am not an American, I don't understand your political system to the fullest.

It seems to me that this bill is not an initiative of the good man himself, but rather originating from the big Hollywood institutions.

And I find that very strange. Why would you trust a *politician* who clearly can be bought *legally* at all?

Wouldn't it be better for the US if you find other means of funding campaigns, so you can at least find out what those politicians' true political agendas are made of, instead of being defined by whoever they take money from? Just my 2c, feel free to flame me.

  6. XS4ALL has been doing this for years! on Xmas Lights + X10 + Webcam = Fun · · Score: 1

Nice and all, but the concept has been around for years. Check XMAS4ALL, the XS4ALL christmastree which has remote controllable lights and has been online every christmas for the last four years or so. And this works every day :)
