For some interesting information about rechargeable batteries and their chargers, take a look at
some FAQs about batteries and chargers. The most important thing is the charger. It can greatly affect how long your batteries will last, in terms of time per charge, and how many charges it can take.
Personally, I have used the Maha brand battery and charger and have been happy with them.

A pet peeve of mine is web sites (like AT) which force the font size. I'm (fortunately) not visually challenged, but 10 points is way too small for me. Thank goodness for Mozilla's "minimum size" feature.
A point I noticed in the article was that spam has flourished because the sender does not pay anything to the carrier (the ISP). Do you think that spam could be reduced if (a big if, granted) some form of payment scheme could be implemented?
Dan was also in the episode "Death of a Shoe Salesman" where he plays the Funeral Director at the store/cemetery where Al wants to be buried next to his hero, Fuzzy McGee and his mule Dadgummit.

Have those attempts been successful, and how do you get along with them now?
