  1. Word to that... on 71% of Spam Servers are Located in China · · Score: 2, Interesting

I too have gotten tired of spam, and run my own mail server on my domain. I have complete control over my email, and complete control over the spam. I get less than 1% spam. However, it's sad that it has to come to that. Not everyone can run their own email servers. What about my mom or grandmother who can't even manage to set up their email account under M$ Outlook? For anyone who has the skill/interest, setting up your own email service is a good idea.

  2. C'mon... on 71% of Spam Servers are Located in China · · Score: 2, Funny

Hey, It's China. Give them a break. Almost all of our stuff comes from China, why not the spam? We still owe them for Chinese food.

  3. Re:Worst job ever. on Microsoft Opens Source to China · · Score: 1

I've heard there is something like fifteen million lines of Windows 95 code. Good luck to whomever gets that job. Sorting through that would be hell, even if it did happen to be commented.

  4. I wouldn't want it on Microsoft Opens Source to China · · Score: 3, Insightful

I have heard people discuss this and say something like "Oh boy, I wonder if the code will be leaked and we can be free to modify windows! Yaaaay!" Not. Who would want to modify windows? I mean, you can make workarounds for problems that exist already without having source. If you want a fully modifiable OS, why don't you just go with Linux?

  5. Re:How is this interesting? on Blog From Your Cellphone? · · Score: 1

A lot of phones these days have a feature called predictive text, and it will try and predict what you are trying to say. I personally don't find it very useful. As for blogs, I think they are quite useless and I could really not care about some random thirteen year old's life.

  6. Re:Here on iPods Around the World · · Score: 1

Exactly. What a waste of time, not to mention bandwidth. I don't want to see nerdy thirteen year olds making out with their iPods in public places! w00t! Sounds like a blast! Oh wait. No, no it doesn't.

  7. Re:Staggering blow? on DALnet For Chatting, Not File Sharing · · Score: 1

Exactly... this isn't a staggering blow to a service that is being used for something it wasn't made for. I am just surprised at how long it took before they proposed some kind of ban or prohibition of DCC sharing.
