Well, that's something I'll probably tell my customers then. Thanks for the tip, I don't have access to a PC with a webcam for testing. As an aside, are there many cams with autofocus and built-in microphones like the iSight for PCs?
There's no way Apple will go for this, and their app uses the AIM service as well as the.Mac service. Will they just move to using the.Mac service solely?
If they stop using AIM, there will be no way to have a proper videoconference with PC users. There is currently no other solution than using iChat on the Mac and AIM on the PC together. Yahoo Messenger only supports a webcam feature, no audio, but if you were to run Skype side-by-side, I assume that would work.
It's all about the clean solution, though, and if AIM's new terms cause Apple to have to rethink its instant messenger service, we may be without a decent conferencing solution for a while.
No, it's a fake. Geez, someone here is sure to believe _anything_ that someone mocks up in Photoshop. Take a look at his gallery of 'v-hacks' on his site.
haha nice fake on the powerbook fire.. the other photoshop work on the site (gallery here) is pretty good, some funny ones.
But you know you're going to spread FUD with this..
Oh well.

Personal Web Sharing is Apache. Windows File Sharing is Samba. Printer Sharing is cups. The firewall is a default deny ipfw setup. OS X is OS X's killer app.
Hope we keep up the good relations, too. Should be a bright future if it's full of Linux and Mac boxen.
I am quite happy with my year 2000 Dua 450 G4. I've only added another 256MB of RAM, for a total of 512, and a 6 GB drive on top of my 30.
Stock ATI Rage Pro 128 card, I can play all the latest games; Max Payne, Tony Hawk, RTCW, Ghost Recon, Quake 3, Giants (rocks), No One Lives Forever, I could go on but you get the point. I also run Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash and Director MX at the same time, with everything else happily chugging along in the background. (iTunes, Mail.app, etc.) Also running Win 98SE and Win 2000 through Virtual PC. (for testing)
My mac has been rock-solid throughout this time, mostly running oddball beta software, etc.
I have my drives in 5 partitions, with an OS X 10.1 install on one, Jaguar on another, and 9.2.1 on another. Works like a charm.
I won't be buying a new mac for another 2 years, if everything continues to go well.

I loved the game, and still play it, Qix, and Bert (a mac 68xxx version of qbert) in both its original forms, and with the 2001 Q*Bert game for Macintosh.
Licensed to Konami for Japanese manufacture and distribution. (02/1983)
Inspired by artwork by M.C. Escher who was an artist that Jeff admired. Ron Waxman came up with the idea of Q*Bert changing the color of the cubes. Q*Bert's name originated by the combination of cube and Hubert, but the "Cube-Bert" was changed to "Q-Bert" to make it more unique. The concept game was called "Snots and Boogers" and then "@!#?@!" (which many of the programmers and Gottlieb VPs said would be impossible to get anyone to say) before the final version was called just "Q*Bert". Slick and Sam were a play on the phrase "spick and span" with Sam being named after co-worker Sam Russo. Rick Tighe came up with the idea of adding the pinball hardware which generated the very mechanical KA-CHUNK when Q*Bert falls off the pyramid.
Approximately 30, 000 units were produced.
Grab the rom (valid for mame from.36final to.63 ) here
PLAY INSTRUCTIONS:
- Jump on squares to change them to the target color.
- Stay on playfield! Jumping off results in a fatal plumment unless a disk is there.
- Avoid all objects and creatures that are not green.
- Use spinning disks to lure snake to his death.
- Extra life at 8000 and each additional 14000.
Twenty years ago, gamers were captivated by a foul-mouthed orange mutant named Q*bert. In the two decades following his epic battle with the relentless Coiley, Q*bert's life evolved into a happy, normal existence. Q*bert had a girl, Q*dina (you can tell she's a girl because she's got a bow ), a powerless, frustrated enemy named Q*dirk, and a big cube land to hop around in and show off the enigmatic protrusion that must be the source of his power and charm (yeah, just go on thinking it's a nose).
Recently, with the help of Hasbro Interactive, an insidious corporation called Sega stole Q*bert's female and placed arch-nemesis Coiley in his path, hoping the ensuing confrontation would be enough to revive their doomed platform.
When asked to comment on the situation, Q*bert said, "&%$#@."
Okay, wait, so they compared a 3 GHz processor with a 1.25 GHz processor? Even though it's dual, it won't be used by everything that he does.. OS X itself uses the Duals, as does Photoshop, but his digicam software may not.
Regardless, it really comes down to a personal choice. Are you strong enough to make the right one?;)

Apple has NOT BROKEN THE LAW. M$ has. It's that simple.
Thought it had something to do with a song or band called Banana being sequenced (i.e. recreated in MIDI) haha
It's been said before.. zero your data. Up to 7 times if you feel safer.
Jaguar (Mac OS X 10.2) will do this with the built-in Disk Utility.
