I don't think you understood my point. I don't know the best way to do anything, least of all think or develop games. But Notch was asking for the very things he was complaining about. Its like ordering vodka at a bar and then complaining to the waiter that he served you alcohol. What the hell did he expect?
That's very close to the truth. One minor detail: UN Fees. The United nation charges all member states a fee. Sending troops to various places for peace keeping missions is one way of paying that debt. I think that comes off the top before they pay the country for the troops. Still profitable though.
He heavily promotes a new project, even live streams his coding of it, then quits because people are paying too much attention to it. WTF. If you don't want anyone paying any attention to your projects, don't live stream the coding of it. Just don't talk about it, and release it when its done.
Yeah, I don't get the hate either. I love the 2.x series. And with MTP support, its brain dead easy to transfer music between my computer and phone. It just works.
As of the early 2000's. For some states it was still as low as $6000 a year ( housing expenses included). That would have been possible with a full time job.
And because their friends are going to $ExpensiveUniversity and don't want to miss out. So instead of doing anything sensible, they take out loans to get a worthless degree from said university because of the college "experience" by which they mean the party scene.
How much was the tuition? If I had lived in a better state, I would have been able to do it with out loans. But as such as I found myself, it was impossible.
Ignoring the insanity that the US controls al Qaeda, that is probably the way it will happen.
They'll outsource the dirty work to another country, kind of like the renditions where they'd send a prisoner to a country that did torture them to get the info they wanted so the US could say they didn't torture.
I look at what KDE devs use. None of them are on kubuntu. Kubuntu itself is kind of in peril due to Ubuntu moving to Mir and KDE moving to Wayland. It may not be based on Ubuntu for much longer at which point, I'd imagine they'd change their name to Kebian.
He said Windows XP computer ( that could be anything from a Pentium II, to a Quad core intel Core 2 and 256 mb of memory up to 4Gb) He didn't say which version of KDE ( its performance in the early days of 4.x weren't very good)
Thats not prophetic. That's mocking those that thought things could change for the better. Apparently, her solution is despair and continuation of policies regardless of their merit. I love that campain slogan "Everthing sucks, and nothing will ever change!" Its kind of goth.
There is the truth, nothing but the truth, and the whole truth.
IMHO, he gave us the truth, but not the whole truth.
Like if I were to ask you if LInux was open source, what would you say? Yes or no?
If you say yes, you have lied, as it contains binary blob firmware. or because most people think of Linux as an operating system, and Ubuntu has many components ( Binary drivers and what not) that are not open source. If you say no, you have lied, as its released under an open source licence.
The right thing to say is that it depends on what you consider linux to be and what you consider open source to be. The NSA thing was like that, they aren't trying to collect information on US citiziens in most cases. So In that case, he wasn't lying. But he did know that in some cases they do accidentally, and occasionally puposefully.
If they thought their concessions would have made it like any other job they could get, the least they could have done was for those that thought that way to quit. Leaving all those that still wanted their jobs, with their jobs. It was a close vote. Those who voted against it, were either naive, or jerks that just wanted to sink the company.
First of all, Talent? They were making Twinkies. Not growing human brains on mars. I'm pretty pro union, but this union voted for unemployment, rather than a concession on stupid job conditions. They're the idiots that aren't needed in organized labor in this day and age. Many people saw corruption and incompetence take root at unions and decided they were better off without the unions at all. In the end for most, the decision was simply choosing the method of death. Unions need to be smarter and have pay and benefits aligned with the company's financial health.
What is crony capitalism other than a buzzword that those that prefer less governmental regulation in the economy throw out to explain things the free market does without regulations that they don't like to prevent them from having to re-evaluate their economic policies?
laissez faire: "let it be", The government in this style of economy lets things happen, like corporations screwing you. We agree on that.
The social programs I'm in favor of that they would cut help more than they hurt. It can't be argued on the aggregate without getting into details weather they "help" or "hurt". Unless you are an expert in public policy, I doubt you are really informed enough to make that determination ( listening to talk radio does not count as being informed).
Brilliant! I think the idea in this case was that lavabit and silent circle didn't have any way to decrypt your email. If this was true, then it wouldn't matter where it was as long as that remained true and email was between two users of the service ( obviously the NSA could read your sent and received email by just hacking the recipient/ sender of each email) .
Now, they do have some valid points which I do advocate for, but so many things they want to do would be so terrible, IMHO ( like their laissez faire economics, and lack of support for social programs) I have to vote to keep them out. They would do more harm than good.

I have over 4000 tracks in amorok On shuffle right now...

Impossible to tell.

Classy. Heaven knows the best way to get people to vote for you, is to make fun of them.
Thats not prophetic. That's mocking those that thought things could change for the better. Apparently, her solution is despair and continuation of policies regardless of their merit. I love that campain slogan "Everthing sucks, and nothing will ever change!" Its kind of goth.
Of course there is inbetween.

^ This is why cults exist and have followers.

Not worth $5. Get out while you still can...
WTF? What is respect, if not approval and admiration? Reading that any other way defies rationality.
You're aware of this stuff, right?

Is it possible to admit that all leaders have problems and none of them are only "Bad" or only "Good"?

He who lives his life by taking famous quotations and applying them to different situations without context, makes trivial points.
