    Here we don't have a war on drugs. I wouldn't even know how to get arrestet for smoking pot (I don't). But so what. Even without a war on drugs our drug related problems are no bigger than yours.

    I don't know if you guys in the US realice this. But over here your justice system is the subject of ridicule, not respect.

    The developing contries have poor infrastructure (this is why they are called developing contries). Lacking proper electricity supply, working telephone lines, not to mention computers. This idea is hardly much help.
    It's a nice idea, but that is also all it is.

    I can only agree with you. Abouth 4 years ago the problem was with child porn and neo nazism on the internet, and now in Europe it is genetically altered plants.

    I guess there will always be men in power who knows next to nothing about science. But who will try to halt the advancement of mankind to serve their own ends.

    But alas so far they have all failed.

    There is much work to be done in the field on astronomy. But unfortunately it is festered with UFO bufs who have read to much SF.

    PS: I am not just saying this because i work for a secret goverment agency, who is involved in a conspiracy with aliens to rebuild the pyramids.

    I think Microsoft is trying to bet on two horses here.

    One one hand if Linux ends up being the number 1 OS they will loose on windows, but benefit from selling programs to it.

    On the other hand if they do port their applications to linux, people will have even less reasons to by windows.

    All in all. Microsoft is known for vaporware. I will believe this when I see it in the stores.

    I can understand why people are worked up about what has happened to Tibet. What I cant understand is Why Tibet. There are plenty of places in the world where far lager amounts of people are having a hard time.

    Of cause the earthless farmers of Brazil or the flood victims in Bangladesh dosen't have such fancy skokesmen.

    People seem to think that the Tibetans has this fantastic religion. But all I see is a bunch of clowns dressed in red and yellow sheets, sitting in lotus position saying ying and yang.

    Before you flame me take a minute to think about this.

    Before the invasion who fed the monks. Did they get payed, or where they told that it was their religious duty to feed them while they lived in poverty ?

    At the beginning of the century. When new planets started popping up (Uranus, Mercury and lastly Pluto). Astrologers had to revise their superstition, I meen alternate science, every time.

    If Pluto is no longer a planet they will have to do it again. What about all the charlatans, I meen distributers who have sold astrology software, and will have to recall it.

    Why do astronomers newer think about stupid, i meen alternatively gifted people feelings.

    Dont the virge cards have a 1.2 and not a 2.0 vesa. If you go to the s3 home page, there is a TSR you can download to give you vesa 2.0.
    If you load the TSR and then use loadlin. You can get the framebuffer working.
