I don't understand it. Why sit in front of your computer for 2 hours when you can stretch out on the couch?
I live in a tiny apartment --- 300 square feet, which includes the kitchen and bathroom. Couple that with 1K mass market paperbacks, 2K trade paperbacks 1K hardcovers and you might see a problem with space. Then there are 15 computers. I use KVM
switches to reduce the number of monitors I need.
Where would I put a TV, since I don't have enough space for more than three monitors?
Another computer box takes up much less space, comparatively speaking. Hooking it up to the a network and KVM switch is trivial. Finding space for a TV monitor, etc is non trivial.
BTW, I am perfectly comfortable lying in bed, reading email, surfing the net, or whatever.
From address has garbage sequences in it, or numbers immediately preceding the @ (YMMV)
A while ago I decided that to get freebie email accounts for each outfit on the net that wanted my email address. And to be really nice, my prefix is on the form xxx#X#X#X#@ where x is an alphabetical character and # is a numeral. And look at the address once a month, or so.
Subject line has trailing garbage
That works pretty well.
Reply to nonexistant message (eg: "re: buy viagra!"), especially with the above
Obviously commercial messages;)
Useful. How do you implement a procmail filter that will do that?
Any message over 36K, unless it is from a friend
Once upon a time I bounced all messages that were greater than 1MB in size. A list I was on melted down when somebody sent a 1.5MB message to it. The complaints about the number and size of those bounces were tremendous.]

It would be nice to know how hard is it to "break into" the Chinese system as compared to the already-industry controlled system in the U.S and Europe.
A-Mei was blacklisted for two or so years, because of her political comments. Zero income from the People's Republic of China. She spent one of those years in the US. Her US tour was not exactly a success. [ Blame Ticketmaster for that.] Back in Taiwan she filled several stadiums.
Other artists from The Republic of China have had the same experience as her.
