As a resident of Ohio and an active registered voter I can say that what this article suggests is more true than you would think.
Just in my little city of about 25,000 people we had issues with Republicans "fixing the vote". Posting people outside of polling locations, harassing minorities, voting locations which previously had several machines being under staffed and not having as many machines as in the past.
All of this stuff did happen, I was there, I witnessed it. It is pathetic to me that a man that lost the election in both 2000 and 2004 has persisted to be allowed to hold the presidency and screw up this country.
The 2 methods I use are Open Office Presenter and PDF. Open Office allows saving in a variety of formats so that M$ Office users can see the presentation or those smart enough to be using Open Office can view the presentation.
To avoid puting up several different files with different formats PDF is the way to go.
Since so many people think I'm wrong let me interject some things:
From Dictionary.com:
"A military force that is not part of a regular army and is subject to call for service in an emergency."
So, no I'm not wrong, I never said that it had to be Army, Navy, National Guard, etc...
In reply to Skye16's comment. If you did what you suggest then you would be considered either an insurgent force, terrorist threat, or simply a traitor by the govenment and would be treated as such.
The majority of the replies I recieved are obviously from gun supporters, so my arguements will just fall on deaf ears. However what you are all spouting at me is what you have been taught by other gun supporters. We may never know what was really meant by the 2nd Amendment, it has been interpreted by many people over the years. Just because the NRA backs your opinion of how it should be supported does not make you right.
I completely agree with you here.
People will argue that it's their right under the 2nd Amendment to "Bear Arms".
I can bet that most of those people have never read the 2nd Amendment. It says "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
However the NRA will leave out the part about the Militia. The 2nd Amendment says that you can have a gun to support the Militia....If you are in the military you get to have a gun...not just because you have a can of Skoal in your back pocket and know where to buy ammo.
I was in the same situation about 3 years ago...and I worked for an ISP at the time.
They provided free dial-up accounts to all employees but that's it. As an administrator I required a little more than a dial-up.
The way I dealt with it is whenever we had a problem that I had to remote in for I would use the free dial-up account. When the owner asked why it took so long to resolve the problem I'd let him know that it could have been resolved a lot quicker with a higher speed connection, but I would not use my personal cable connection for work unless they paid for it. I even offered to bill them for the time I used my own resources for work.
After about 2 months and hundreds of angry customers (companies and home users) I got a free high speed account, a pager, and a cell phone.
Either don't use your personal resources or bill your employer for time using those personal resources for work.
Hey, couldn't this be used to fight off an RIAA lawsuit? Could making a record of a Kazaa user's IP address without that user's consent be illegal in a two-party consent state?
Nope, you don't own the IP (typically), your ISP does. However if there are any logs created when you download something using Kazaa then that would probably be considered inadmissible because you'd have to get permission from the person you downloaded from.
What happens if your messenger automatically logs converstations? I'm betting that companies will start putting something in their TOS saying that you agree to have your conversations automatically logged or something to that effect.
"So don't be surprised if you're in Japan early next year and see people running holding their cellphone/PDA like a gun."
Wasn't laser tag great? Hard to believe that people think this is something new...Finally, another way to waste the batteries on a cell phone so when you really need to use it you can't!
Sorry, missed that on Saturday, but that was just an example. I always check to see if my news stories have been listed...usually they are turned down and have not been listed...or the main page or otherwise.
Why the hell would/. post this story but not the one I submitted yesterday about a serious security flaw with Samba? Doesn't make a whole heck of a lot of sense...
This site is going down hill quickly.
Yes, CMP (Code Monkey Publishing) is making money off of this...WoTC is giving the ability to release the non-SRD/non-OGL content to CMP in exchange for patching E-Tools...

Retard from Ohio? You tell me to check my math, when it is correct, and I'm a retard from Ohio?
I'll have you know that this retard from Ohio happens to have an IQ of 185, SAT Score of 1536, and ACT Score of 29. This retard from Ohio probably has more intelligence than everyone in your family.
So before you tell someone to check their math, and call them a Retard make sure you know your facts and know the person you are talking to.
What do you mean check my math...it is currently 12:20 p.m. in Ohio, I chat with my mother-in-law in California and it is currently 9:20 a.m.
No math problem here!
No, it's not Borland's fault, it's MS's fault because they aren't giving programmers enough access to the OS code to properly develope secure and stable programs. If there were more access to the source code then there would be less need for Administrator access in the programs.
Nothing like going off topic on a tag line...but here we go...
Yes Stupid! Bought grades in Ivy League school: ~$1,500 per class
Becomming Independantly Wealthy: $XXXXXX from daddy
Stealing an election that you lost by popular vote and rightfully lost by Electoral Collage: Priceless!
You are right, Ford would have that obligation, because the failure of the axles would be directly responsible for accidents that could cost lives.
Does your life depend on the Internet or a Microsoft SQL server? If so, end it now, because you are in for a lifetime of dissapointments.
