What are you talking about? YAST is one the big reasons I use SuSE Linux Enterprise Server. It is quite feature-rich when it comes to administrative tasks and as someone mentioned, the ability to run YAST through a ssh console session is extremely handy.
I agree with you. I cannot believe how the frickn members of "community" has, for the most part, washed their hands off Hans Reiser, forgetting his contributions to open source. He wrote an entire filesystem, a very good one, and made it opensource. How many of us can claim that? Guilty must be punished but it appears from posts here (and elsewhere) that he has already been convicted. The least we can do is provide him moral support. Law can take its course but don't condemn him before that.
Judging from this new revealation and lack of evidence of death, I believe Reiser should be given a benifit of doubt. While sparing the guilty could be a crime, punishing the innocent is an even greater crime, IMO.
On my system, the new driver seems to perform much better if frame rate from glxgears and quake3d is any indication. I am seeing as much as 25% improvement in performance over the 4496!(using 2.4.21 kernel).
I also tried the new drivers with patches from minion.de on a 2.6 kernel and could see improved performance. However, synaptic touchpad and pcmcia Wi-Fi seem to be broken in 2.6 so had to go back to 2.4 kernel.
the italic words on slashdot are rendered in bold on konqueror 3.1.4 no matter what font i use. also, the font for comments seem to depend on the general font of X and konqueror. i would prefer if slashdot specified a standard typeface for comments and other aspects of the website.
while slashdot loads pretty quick here, i would welcome a fresh look to the website. a better way to view comments would be nice too. the threaded system is cumbersome when there are too many comments. just my $0.02

Have you tried Mandrake 9.2. It features wireless network configuration and automatic detection during installation.
Redhat 9.0 also has WiFi features.
While boot time may not be an issue for servers and some desktop users, it _IS_ an issue when it comes to laptops. Laptops and other such devices are the future of computing for the masses and boot-time (boot to GUI) remains a bottleneck with these devices.
I have a fairly powerful laptop. Even with all the boot-time optimizations with mandrake/redhat, it still takes much longer to boot compared to XP.

What are you talking about? It's not Hans Reiser who confessed to killing 8 people. Read again.

I know for a fact that the cap _does_ apply to Indians and Chinese. Your lawyer is either incompetent or he is misleading you for whatever reason.
