  1. Re:where "all users" = USA on Google Voice VoIP Calls Will Be Live For Everyone by Next Week (androidpolice.com) · · Score: 2

I too had a Gizmo account on a n810, then used the account on a PBX (still running) for roll over on busy for a land line. When Google shut it down, I had 10$ on account, but no way to collect a refund. I switched to working VOIP provider and moved on, but I started to get that MS feeling form Google that day. Just one of the many reasons I run LineageOS with out G apps on my phone now.

  2. Ubuntu on the XO on Comparison of Windows XP and Linux/Sugar On the OLPC XO · · Score: 5, Interesting

I had to pry my wife's XO out of her lap to post this. Sugar may be good for kids & education or not, but I found it to come up short. Ubuntu on the XO works well, even plays SD video recorded on Myth TV with out stuttering. It's damn hard to type on this little keyboard.

  3. Alabama Slamer - Dvorak == bigot on Dvorak Slams OLPC As 'Naive Fiasco' · · Score: 1

If you read TFA, Dvorak groups the starving third world with Birmingham Alabama in the opening paragraphs. Besides being a bigot he misses the finer points of the XO laptop. It is the distribution of text books. It does not mater if you are in the USA or the third world, if you can push out the text book on to the XO you can save money. The publishers will have to follow, that is capitalism. What does Dvorak not understand - the universe. XO - I gave - I wait.

Shut down the PC. Wipe down the keyboard with a paper towel soaked with rubbing alcohol. Cleans the grim and the drying time is short.

It's also in filer.exe. Give me that and nwadmin.exe so I don't have to touch every damn file in a directory to assign rights while your at it. I have a feeling that Novell will not open souce the best features.
