    I worked in Spain for a while, but it was a German company so we kept "normal" office hours. To be fair, our building had decent aircon so the heat wasn't so bad.

    What was funny (to us) was turning up at restaurants around 9 p.m. and finding them setting up.

    Funny thing was, there were precisely zero machines running Windows in the house at that time. Was very tempted to play silly buggers with them:

    There is no "lock-in" for ride sharing, for either drivers or riders.

    One possibility is that local governments might be persuaded to set up some kind of permit or licensing scheme. Perhaps drivers could have some sort of ID-emblem thingy that they hang around their necks. A pendant scheme, that's got a ring (sorry) to it.

    If you study mathematics you have fundamental skills you can apply to loads of things. If you study R with a minor in css and hadoop you only know R, css and hadoop.

    One is actual education, the other is vocational training.

    Not at all. They only want people with a Master's, five years' experience in something that's only existed for three and are under 24.
