    Apparently you have never been to NYC. The conductor just drives the train that is it. They do not leave their booth at all. The tranist authority deals with what goes on in the train.
    As mentioned in the article Paris and SF already have automated trains.

    What are you talking about?? Do you even have any clue as to how these services work? It has nothing to do with windows or your computer even. I'll explain it to you in a few words. You get a hardware device that you connect your phone to and an ethernet connection to. The device connects to a server and converts the voice data to digital to be sent to the server. The server then sends the voice data on it's way to the local PSTN to be converted back to analog. Your computer has nothing to do with it.

    I know it's not cost effective BUT it sure is a hell of a lot easier to fix the photo at home and print it then going to walmart or cvs to have them print my pictures. I print maybe 1 or 2 pictures a month if that.

    I would agree that if you are printing 20 pictures a week it would make more sense to use an online service or go to a store.

    Just my thoughts.

    No. /etc/portage/package.use and package.keywords and package.mask are per package flags. This is usefull because when you go to upgrade a package via emerge -u it will upgrade the package using the use flags in package.use file and not your global use flags. The portage manual has a much better description than I. man portage and search for package.use as well as the other files.

    You know that you shouldn't do the following:

    USE="-gnome" emerge bitchx

    But should use /etc/portage/package.use . It's in the portage man page and it's good stuff.

    You're talking the distance from the manhole to the basement, which is between valves anyway . This would prevent the need to trench for most cases. If you need to repair the cable, you can either refeed it (most likely) or then trench.
    No. I am talking about feeding the cable through water mains. Which is what they would have to do. And I'm sure nobody likes the idea of redoing expensive cable that has to be able to withstand being in water it's entire life. Your idea is still dumb.

I use the same service as the parent and I rent two movies on sunday and then next sunday bring those back and rent 2 more. If I don't feel like renting movies that week or I don't have to bring them back, I don't have to worry. I'm not charged late fees. It's a damn good service.
