Either that, or some bloke called "Ian" is going to have his collar felt for being the guy who's copy gets onto the p2p networks (every copy is personalised, movie studios have been trying to get this kind of information planted into movies for ages.
Would you share your copy if there was even a slim chance that your the only person called "xyz" that purchased a copy using your credit card?
Which is why we're so excited about these personalized Jessica Simpson tracks. Not only is it pretty cool to have a version of the song which speaks to me (I was shocked to see they had "Ian", did they do that for me?), but it's in MP3 format, which I have no problem paying a little more for (though $1.99 is a premium price because of the PERSONALIZATION, not the DRM, the right price for MP3s is somewhere between $0.99 and there, IMHO).
Am I reading this right, did they just manage to blind us by making mp3 files more expensive even though theres no cost for evil DRM like they profess? why should we pay MORE for the mp3 when just above they said DRM has a cost, if I can get a protected DRM file right now for $0.99, shouldn't I be able to get the mp3 for less?
A well designed standards based website is built in a uniform standard way and contains all the hints required for a screenreader to pickup on. Badly designed sites use lots of custom content and stupid user interface elements which make it difficult to access (both from a blind screen readers perspective and usually from a normal users view.
Will Wright might be a god, but the one true god is John Carmack.
John vs Will in a fight to the death (and beyond), there would be dolls houses' and monsters from hell flying left right and centre (and up and down for the 3d purests).
We need to stop looking at ancient fossils, we need to go and ask the only living relative of this creature just what they were for and how they looked.
This reptile was clearly the ancestor of MC Hammer.
Back in reality now (after a cold shower) some Bats have practically identical skin flaps between their legs even nowadays.
As for diving into the fossil records, we should be trying to model our aircraft on living birds and bats and insects, at least then we don't need a computer to guess how it should work. I would rather put my trust into something when there are plenty of study models to base a design from, not a single sample guestimate.
We can already soar like an eagle perhaps we need the manoeuvrability of a bat for urban airports?
If its a laser, couldn't you use a diffraction grid (shine it through a crystal) and produce thousands of identical components at the same time. All it should take is increasing the power of the laser itself.
Chaotic processes can be predicted with great accuracy for short time into the future, but can't be predicted a long time into the future.
That entirely depends upon the process in question and the selection of initial variables.
Sensitivity to initial variables and deviation from the expected path are what makes chaotic functions fun.
For some equations and parameters the expected path can be estimated with great precision, however move a fraction to the left and they will spin wildly out of control. Just look at 2 adjacent points in the mandelbrot set.
I usually get to see them coming in the mysterious future and occasionally your right, just before they arrive at my bus stop, they turn off and vanish again. The frustrating part is it normally only happens with the articles I really want to post something in.
Clippy: It looks like your searching for viruses, well your in the right place.
ps, anyone else notice that slashdot is like waiting for a bus, you wait for hours with no updates then 4 come along all at once. Hope the problems have been fixed now.
Humans are descended from those same primates.
And lawyers/politicians/managers are descended from snakes.
At least its an explanation of the uneasy feeling I get when I see Darl Mcbride.
This is slashdot, there is no built in spell checking.
Reading the quote as "3d mesh" sounds plausable, I've never heard of a 3d mess (although some games come close).
To add to the sibling, you can also adjust the scores of moderated comments to get rid of the crappy jokes and other stuff.
On your preferences/comments page, look for the reason modifier and adjust as required.
Its ok, the MPPA shut down the suprnova a while ago.
Looks like we are in for a long wait.
IM is like a face to face conversation, except usually you don't meet up with people wearing your underpants and picking your nose.
And thought it was some kind of poo-flinging device.
It depends if your using a private database to do it.
Running a google check on someone is not a crime.
Getting someone to "do a background check", or doing it yourself on private databases however is (this article gives an example).
You can remove the sting from WGA bites by wiping some doc leaves over your keyboard and mouse.

Perhaps you need to open your eyes then.

Isn't this how religious wars start?
I think you misspelt your verbs:

ToiletFillr 2.0 beta
I would reword the grandparent as:

Pumping loud music through your ears when you should be using your senses for protection and information is idiotic at best.

You can just see how that would go
Site: Yes, you can download the movies and burn them to special dvds.
Customer: Thats cool, can I play them in my normal DVD player?
Site: Yeah sure.
Customer: How about at my friends house?
Site: Yup
Customer: But I can burn them with my own DVD writer?
Site: Yup
Customer: Can I make loads of copies of them?
Site: Nope, you can burn them once only.
Customer: Thats ok, it sounds good enough though how much are the disks?
Site: $49.99 each.
Customer: !!!! *sound of bittorrent kicking in*

I'm sorry, that EPOS machine you are using is technically a computer, get back to your mopping slave.
While we are making our "raft" why don't we also make a virus and drug called "snow crash"?
It annoys me now because most of the cars he comes back with are crap and fall apart easily.
Hotwheels cars are usually well made and robust.
We managed to save ourselves quite a bit last autumn because he was happy to carry a leaf into school, but that didn't last too long.
